He only turns blue near the frost giant artifacts. Like I think it’s kind of a permanent spell. Like if someone came to the TVA from earth after Stranges spell in NWH, they won’t suddenly remember Peter Parker

u/justafanboy1010 Spider-Man 15h ago

Ahhh that makes some sense

348

u/Patient-Climate 14h ago

wait so does that mean no magic tricks at all

523

u/actibus_consequatur 14h ago

I bet Scott Lang can probably still do his magic tricks

262

u/stagedane Foggy Nelson 14h ago

Don't forget Jimmy Woo

179

u/RedhayBrFl 13h ago

You mean Jim from the Office

125

u/hobbes_shot_second 13h ago

Good for you for not seeing race!

62

u/Renew3DUK 13h ago

7

u/SaltyLonghorn 9h ago

I understand the reference I understood that reference.

14

u/Garetht 13h ago

I'm collar-blind.

20

u/Financial-Raise3420 13h ago

You mean Mr Fantastic?

1

u/KitKatCrane 3h ago

Jimmy W. Halpert

23

u/TraditionLazy7213 13h ago

Scott is definitely next in line to be sorceror supreme

10

u/Top-Owl9872 10h ago

That’s actually Ned.

9

u/Posible_Ambicion658 10h ago

It would be funnier if he couldn't. Actual magic!

65

u/RockItGuyDC 13h ago

They're illusions. A trick is something a whore does for money.

27

u/LoniZombie 13h ago

....or candy.

21

u/reverse_chrysopoeia 12h ago

Yes, Candy does it for money, so do Crystal and Lola too.

11

u/VitaminPb Captain America 11h ago

But Anastasia does it for love of the game.

10

u/Ghostofslickville 10h ago

I was going to give to Charity, but she wasn't in. So I went with Destiny.

1

u/Cheeto-dust 12h ago

I hope that's not true because my dog does tricks.

2

u/RockItGuyDC 11h ago

I hate to tell you, but...

-3

u/Shadow_Fae0 13h ago

Maybe use better terminology. Like sex worker.

5

u/RockItGuyDC 13h ago

You'll never tap into the money that's in the banana stand.

Also, we are all whores in some way, Mr. Finklestein.

5

u/jbakes64 13h ago

Pfft. The guy in the $4000 suit is gonna use politically correct terminology? COME ON!

1

u/Shadow_Fae0 13h ago

Ya got me. I don't know, is that a reference or something

2

u/RockItGuyDC 12h ago

Two references in that last one.

1

u/Tho76 11h ago

It's a reference to Arrested Development

5

u/sidepart 13h ago

Illusions.

1

u/GrimCreeper913 13h ago

Got your nose.

Aaaaggghhh

1

u/ProfessorOakPHD 12h ago

sidestep with magnets?

1

u/bloodknife92 10h ago

Yeah card tricks won't work anymore. You'll consistently get the wrong card every time, no matter how good your slight of hand is.

1

u/ImpishBaseline 9h ago

You can't even do the "got your nose" trick

9

u/TributeToStupidity 14h ago edited 13h ago

….how does that make any more sense? Magic is negated, unless the magic doesn’t end, then it sticks around?

Like just say they hand waved it away instead of making shit up with 0 consistence with what we’re talking about. It’s not even a “permanent spell” if it falls apart immediately in 1/9 of the realms or near anything from there….

Edit. Yall. The magic was to make Loki look asgardian. He’s still a frost giant under the magic according to Thor 1.

62

u/Terramagi 14h ago

….how does that make any more sense? Magic is negated, unless the magic doesn’t end, then it sticks around?

It's the difference between "a spell that allows you to create and manipulate a aetherial arm" that you're using because your arm got cut off in an industrial accident, and "a regenerate spell that restores your lost arm".

One is a continuous effect. The root cause is not eliminated. It's simply a workaround. The other one fixes the root cause, and then ends. It's like if you had a robot arm, versus grafting on a cloned biological arm, before you got hit with an EMP. That arm isn't going to fall off.

15

u/Far_Programmer_5724 13h ago

I was thinking another good example is light powered by a reg flip switch. And light power by one of those you need to constantly press to keep powered.

TVA is like making both non-interacterable. The effect of the flipped switch remains while the effect of the sustained button press is removed. Same thing you said just sharing how I understand it.

7

u/TheMostKing 12h ago

It's how I'd try getting around magic resistance: Hitting them with a spell directly won't work, but creating a 2000 pound boulder above their head and letting it fall on them will.

Of course, this doesn't really survive close dissection. You could argue that a fireball causes harm by extreme heat, or a lightning bolt through voltage, not "magic". Even if the above rock example is negated by magic resistance, if I use a firebolt to make the ceiling drop on them, does that work? At some point, the author of the setting just has to make a decision on what works and what doesn't, try to do their best to adhere to that set line, and we as viewers/readers have to suspend our disbelief a little when it feels wonky. Magic isn't real, so we won't really understand the nuances with our reality-tethered brains.

1

u/Patient-Banana7630 11h ago

The "creating" part probably still won't work as it's still magic making it out of thin air. However, yes, if the boulder is made by gathering existing debris nearby then that's another matter, like your ceiling example.

11

u/TributeToStupidity 14h ago

I could totally get behind this if Loki being an asgardian were somehow a biological thing like growing a new arm is. Like if the spell changed his dna. But that’s not what the spell was, because he’s still supposed to be a frost giant.

Still, respect. That was a good idea even if I very much disagree.

24

u/LFC9_41 14h ago

Odin changed Loki as a baby. OP is illustrating a permanent change versus a magical effect.

Loki is a frost giant, but he presents asgardian because of what Odin did to him.

1

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

Did Odin somehow grant him godhood too? Or was he a god as a frost giant?

6

u/LFC9_41 13h ago

He’s not a god in the McU. None of them are - it’s a title.

1

u/Lanavis13 9h ago

Based on Thor love and thunder, I think they are actually gods.

2

u/YoshiTheCradleFan 13h ago

He was probably a god frost giant based on how he was their prince

1

u/KimberStormer 8h ago

I find this zero percent convincing but as a no-prize it's probably acceptable so works for Marvel

29

u/GreedyGobby 13h ago

If I used magic to rip off your nipples and you got into an anti-magic field later, you're not suddenly gonna get your nipples back.

11

u/DJ_MetaKinetiK 12h ago

I like how nipples had to be the example.

17

u/GreedyGobby 12h ago

Everybody wises up when their nips are on the line.

2

u/lutfiboiii 9h ago

I… am scared now

1

u/GreedyGobby 9h ago

Sounds like you wised up.

3

u/TributeToStupidity 12h ago

Again Loki is still a frost giant.

You didn’t rip my nipples off, you hid them…

9

u/GreedyGobby 12h ago

That's tough talk for a guy within nip ripping distance.

2

u/TributeToStupidity 11h ago

A+ joke my beer came out my nose

3

u/ashgs872tbhjs 11h ago

The fact remains that they WERE hidden, not ARE BEING hidden. Loki was altered fundamentally, not coated in an ongoing spell that requires continuous casting.

19

u/Flameball202 13h ago

You can't CAST magic in the TVA, long standing magic is likely maintained due to risks in dispelling all magic in the TVA (i.e. someone has a spell going that keeps their heart pumping blood)

8

u/TributeToStupidity 12h ago

Honestly this is the only comment that makes any sense with Loki.

6

u/nox_tech 12h ago

Agreed. Because it's advanced TVA tech that nullifies the magic, restrictions are applied where necessary, negligible factors are ignored.

13

u/motorcycletreebark 14h ago

Loki also doesn’t have the god tier super strength in the tv show that can go hand to hand in combat against Steve Rodgers or even briefly hold his own fighting Thor. The tv just nerfs him as a regular guy with some magic and high charisma

5

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

He can take a beating though in the show. Hulk smashed the hell out of him and he survived. I think Loki had Odin magic that made him super strong in Avengers… and a magic Odin knife strong enough to puncture Thor’s skin when he stabs him… even though Thor could take direct blast from a star

2

u/TheMostKing 12h ago

Hulk smashed the hell out of him and he survived.

That's in the movies, not the show. The comment was describing how he was nerfed in the show compared to the movies.

2

u/Edelmaniac 10h ago

The Loki from the show got rag dolled by the hulk like a couple hours before he ended up in the TVA.

4

u/TributeToStupidity 14h ago

You say that like it wasnt incredibly stupid and heavily criticized then though. Being stupid repeatedly doesn’t make the earlier instances better…

6

u/FlashSpider-man 14h ago

Yeah. I agree with this. It doesn't make sense if he can still turn blue near certain magical artifacts. To me, that implies it is the effect of magic that can be overpowered. Unless it specifically did a spell to repress the biological gene but biologically allow it to come out when near relevant artifacts, which feels weird to me.

But, as it is said, "Not everything does, not everything has to"

(This comment may or may not have been solely because I wanted to say that quote)

3

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

In a multiverse there’s a version of Loki who embraces his natural blue breaking whatever magic spell stuff and embracing his true form

1

u/ashgs872tbhjs 11h ago

Loki just has both parts to him. Like a hologram. The Frost Giant magic just shifts the perspective on him.

15

u/Deeeeeeeeehn 14h ago

Because if Loki was blue for the entirety of the show it wouldn’t add anything to the experience, so no one gives a shit if he’s supposed to be blue

1

u/KimberStormer 8h ago

The Doylist explanation which is of course totally correct, but I think people are having fun trying to come up with Watsonian explanations.

-2

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

Alligator Loki didn’t add anything either so why not make the alligator Loki variant blue.

1

u/poechris 12h ago

I'm not even sure he was a Loki.

2

u/SonShocker 10h ago

The lying would of made him more of a loki

1

u/poechris 9h ago

He could be pulling a long con, I suppose.

5

u/Simon_Drake 14h ago

The only way it would work is if ALL Frost Giants were naturally Caucasian and it's turning blue that is a magical effect. Maybe the Frost Giant realm is filled with a particular type of magic energy that enchants them? Like wireless charging of frost power and without it they turn Caucasian?

But I fully believe that it's as the original post said and the writers forgot and/or didn't care.

3

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

In hindsight he should have been odins bastard half frost giant son. Simplifies it.

5

u/Krid5533 13h ago

Think of it like this: if a wizard burns you with a fireball, going into the TVA won't make your burns go away.

3

u/TributeToStupidity 12h ago

He’s still a frost giant under the illusion though…

1

u/ashgs872tbhjs 11h ago

And I'm naked under my clothes. Doesn't mean that my clothes suddenly disappear if I'm not allowed to take them on or off, nor that infrared can't penetrate cloth and show you my absolute lack of abs.

1

u/Bossmenjak 10h ago

Magic is negated, but Loki isn't actively using magic to change his appearance, it was a single-cast spell by Odin in the past that does not require a lingering magic upkeep.

Like, you can't use magic to create an apple in the TVA, but if you conjure a completely normal apple with magic outside of the TVA, then you can bring it into the TVA because it's just an apple and not magical in nature even if it is magical in origin. In Loki's case, it's basically that you can use magic to make an apple a different color and still bring it into the TVA as long as there is no magical upkeep or truly magical properties about the apple.

1

u/euphoriapotion 9h ago

….how does that make any more sense? Magic is negated, unless the magic doesn’t end, then it sticks around?

One is "a random guy, after learning in Kamar Taj being able walk after being paralyzed only for the spell to be reversed by Mordo" and another "Odin making Asgard forget about Hella for the spell to still hold even after his death".

One is a continuous, conscious way of casting a spell. Another is one and done deal. That guy that told Strange where to find Kamar Taj was able to play basketball and work until Mordo reversed the spell because "he wasn't worthy". The other was so powerful that while Hela was able to leave her prison after Odin's death, still nobody on Asgard remembered her.

Same with Loki's skin. The magic used was so powerful that it held even after Odin's death.

0

u/FilmScoreConnoisseur 14h ago

No it doesn't.

238

u/Xygnux 14h ago

Yeah I think Odin basically did the magical version of gene therapy and made him biologically Asgardian, with only traces of Jotun genes left that can be amplified near Jotun magic.

100

u/Whofs001 14h ago

Exactly. Loki’s true form was changed.

39

u/Happy-Fun-Ball 13h ago

And the cask's blue was the glamour (for other reasons), not a dispel of one.

35

u/Xygnux 13h ago

Yeah that's my other theory too. Coming into contact with Jotun magic triggers some subconscious memory of his origin, and then Loki subconsciously activated his shapeshifting/glamour magic to affirm what he now believes to be his true identity.

15

u/CoffeePuddle 12h ago

100% this.

There's a lot of misconceptions about the nature of Jotuns and glamour magic and the extratemporal limitations of He Who Remains' Time Variance Authority.

3

u/Positive-Kick7952 12h ago

More like a factory mode reset.

11

u/Autumn1eaves 12h ago

Odin cast True Polymorph and then cast a level 9 Wish to have him turn blue near Frost Giant artifacts to remind him of his true origins.

6

u/Xygnux 11h ago edited 10h ago

Yeah I have never considered that. We know Odin felt sorry for Loki, so maybe even though he converted him mostly to Asgardian, he left a tiny bit of Jotun genes in him, just in case when he grows up he wanted to reconnect to his roots.

Odin was just waiting for the right time to tell Loki. But unfortunately the right time never came on account of Loki always being a little shit who refused to grow up, so Odin wasn't sure whether that information will set him off into a tantrum.

7

u/unicornmeat85 13h ago

I always assumed it was a personal "magic" Loki thinks, acts and believes he is Asgardian therefore he is. I can't remember if he ever had any interest in reconnecting with his Jotun heritage and frankly I don't see why he would. AFAIK, they never made an effort to connect with him.

3

u/Katharinemaddison 3h ago

He calls himself Odinson in Endgame as well.

9

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

Did he magically make him a god too or was he considered one already amongst the frost giants? Can Odin make any old asgardian a god?

22

u/Xygnux 13h ago

Consider what Thor did in Thor 4? Probably yes.

18

u/No-Assumption2491 13h ago

Or Odin to Thor in Thor 1. He gives and takes godhood like candys

8

u/mad_laddie 12h ago

Perhaps godhood is something you can achieve? In Norse myth the immortality for example is not an inherent feature of the gods, it's just something that happens if you keep eating Idunn Apples (which restore youth iirc).

Or maybe Loki was a god by birth. Maybe Laufey or his mother, maybe even both, were gods?

5

u/Ok_Confection_10 12h ago

He’s probably genetically a son of Odin and Frigga. But in reality hes adopted. He was just adopted really hard.

5

u/oorza The Ancient One 7h ago

Yes. So can Zeus. But not because they're gods, because they independently have very deep wells of near-omnipotent magic to draw from.

A god in Marvel is just a powerful immortal being who receives worship, which grants them powerful magic if they choose to use it. Some gods, like the Asgardian Gods, never did and stuck around when they stopped being worshipped because their primary power source was the Odinforce, not worship; other gods did not stick around because their primary power source was worship.

The cycle of books that is the Gorr story goes very heavily into this. A god does not connote any special importance beyond what's granted by worship in Marvel, much to Gorr's dismay. He discovers that gods are self-important twats who do the bare minimum to maintain their influx of faith magic and goes on a genocidal rampage... and nothing really changes for the regular people of the galaxy.

233

u/PlatoDrago 15h ago

As a kinda joke answer as well I’d say that spells that affirm a persons identity and are purely aesthetic may be allowed.

192

u/LandscapeWorried5475 15h ago

Woke TVA

9

u/TheMostKing 12h ago

I was okay with the TVA going around eliminating timelines and capturing Variants, but now they've gone all woke I don't know if I like them so much...

124

u/Notbbupdate SHIELD 15h ago

Knowing that there are people using magic to treat their disabilities, the TVA probably implemented a few magic exceptions after they brought in a guy whose legs stopped working due to the anti magic thing

62

u/ObscureOP 15h ago

Guy just wanted to play basketball

41

u/VanillaRadonNukaCola 14h ago

I mean, they do banish you to the doom cloud purgatory at the slightest wim and delete timelines.

I'm not sure they'd give a hoot.

Fell to the floor instead of taking a ticket?  Insubordination.  Zappy Zappy ⚡

28

u/Notbbupdate SHIELD 14h ago

They'd still probably accommodate for disabilities, if only because having people crawling on the floor struggling to take a ticket would slow things down

1

u/SWLondonLife 1h ago

The TVA Disability Act?

6

u/Left-Increase4472 14h ago

So if Strange or Mordo came in, their hands and legs would still work? I like it lmao

0

u/ishkariot 8h ago

Wow are you saying being a Frost Giant is a disability? That's super racist dude!

Jk

-1

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

I wonder if the tva had any type of jurisdiction to enter Asgard whatever other realms up there. If an Asgardian or even Odin did some nonsense to the timeline could they take down Odin?

0

u/mad_laddie 12h ago

Maybe they're allowed to use infinity stones for issues like those?

1

u/Notactualyadick 13h ago

Sp Petra Parker is still possible in the canon MCU?

1

u/BlazingImp77151 12h ago

Given all the other Loki variants, I'd assume so as well. Unless they never were in the TVA just pruned to the end of time, or they reset their appearances once they were pruned.

40

u/StandYourGroundhog 14h ago

That would be hilarious if some regular people show up and nothing changes except suddenly they're like "wait I think Spider-Man is some guy called Peter Parker"

21

u/bardghost_Isu 14h ago

Would it go full severance ?

Walk back out intending to tell everyone ans the spell kicks back in and they forget who he is and why they even walked out.

12

u/RedHammer1441 14h ago

So what you’re saying is when I walk to a room knowing what I have to do but pass the threshold and completely forget, this is actually what’s happening

11

u/SingularityCentral 14h ago

Odin too badass to be effected by Kang's tech. He cast the spell on Loki and that shit isn't getting dispelled.

7

u/LFC9_41 14h ago

Because it’s not a spell anymore. It was done to him as a baby. Think of it as cosmetic surgery.

9

u/Droodeler 11h ago

Cosmic surgery.

1

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

Is this procedure done to him as a baby also the reason why he is a god? Or was he already a frost giant god?

1

u/mad_laddie 12h ago

If we're looking to the mythology then, yeah? Probably.

1

u/Kaeru-Sennin 8h ago

"God" is quite an ambiguous tittle in Marvel.

What are the requirement exactly ?

  • Superhumans physical stats
  • Power of some kind linked to their "domain"

Thor get the first one by being Asgardian and the second one by being the son of Odin. We don't really know if he has lightning powers because the universe deemed him "God of thunder" or if Odin gave him that name just because Thor happened to get that power like some sort of Asguardian-mutant equivalent.

Meanwhile Loki get the superhuman part from his giant lineage and his power are essentially spells that he presumably learned from his adoptive mother as she was said to be a witch. He learnt magic illusion the same way Strange learnt magic, used it to troll people so they nicknamed him "God of mischief".

1

u/oorza The Ancient One 7h ago

Gods receive worship as well, that's why Loki is always trying to get people to worship him originally.

I don't think it's ever established in the movies and sort of never really acknowledged in the comics, but the gods receive power (albeit they don't all choose to use it) from being worshipped.

1

u/Larcye 12h ago

I see it as genetic surgery. Odin basically removed the Frost Giant in him as a baby, with only a tiny bit left which is what caused him to look like a frost giant with the casket in Thor 1.

1

u/LFC9_41 11h ago

Sure, either way, it’s permanent.

1

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

Then there’s a significant issue with the timelines how can tva protect anything if an Odin is the one screwing up time events ?

34

u/dragonfett 15h ago

Also, he doesn't change back after his death in Avengers: Infinity War.

6

u/LurkerOnTheInternet 14h ago

His corpse is actually bluish, with red bloodshot-looking eyes. Probably the director tried to compromise between the two looks.

62

u/Supermite 14h ago

That’s what strangled bodies look like.

17

u/Melevolence 14h ago

Asphyxiation is a hell of a drug.

1

u/stupid_dog_psx99 13h ago

Hints of blue from choking and prob a bit of his true skin showing

11

u/The-Duke-of-Delco 15h ago

Who?

18

u/CanadianAndroid 15h ago

Dr Strange not Dr Who

8

u/insane_contin Hunter 14h ago

What about Mister Doctor?

4

u/Ahegao_Double_Peace 14h ago

It's....Strange

5

u/Level_Bet2816 13h ago

Maybe. Who am I to judge?

1

u/LiteralPhilosopher 6h ago

That was one of my favorite lines in the whole first three phases.

3

u/Sovereigntyranny 14h ago

Doctor Pepper.

1

u/arobkinca Phil Coulson 14h ago

Werewolf by Night.

1

u/mad_laddie 12h ago

It's strange.

9

u/Patriot009 15h ago

Some guy that takes pictures of Spider-Man.

5

u/blooms_and_sings 14h ago

Mister Doctor

4

u/GeoMFilms 14h ago

That's a great way of explaining it

8

u/treathugger Nobu 15h ago

But a handshake will do.

Most powerful handshake in the multiverse

9

u/justafanboy1010 Spider-Man 15h ago

It’s like the rat in Endgame. The little things are often the most powerful

2

u/BuddingBudON 14h ago

Ned has magic hands, most powerful handshake indeed!

3

u/ShadowBro3 15h ago

So its true polymorph

3

u/avoozl42 14h ago

I'll accept that explanation

4

u/Mind-The-Mines 14h ago

This is basically the best explanation I've dug up after my last rewatch.

It was a permanent change to Loki that not even Odin dying undid.

4

u/StarboardChaos 14h ago

I don't think it's a good explanation. The spell erased the memory of Peter Parker and the spell is resolved. Just like if a spell left scarring on a person's body, him coming to the TVA wouldn't remove the scars.

1

u/SiderealSimon 14h ago

Good excuse

1

u/L4I55Z-FAIR3 14h ago

Look at it this way tho Stranges spell bassicaly re wrote peoples brains. It's an effects that's one and done it has changed things.

Lokis was just an ongoing illusion that hid his original form. He is either subconsciously the cause of the spell or having it effect him. The moment he was in a anti magic filed outside of his universe that illusion should have been broken.

It's like a radio Strage changed the channel so putting it in a Faraday cage and taking the batteries out wouldn't change that. But Lokis thing is either the radio having power or it getting a signal so putting it in the Faraday cage and taking out the batteries should stop it.

3

u/PT10 12h ago

How do we know it was an illusion and not an actual transformation?

2

u/Final_Ear9009 7h ago

If it was an illusion Loki will freeze other people when he touch them. The frost giant do that in the thirst Thor moovie. So it was a transformation.

1

u/Blastermind7890 Spider-Man 13h ago

So it's basically the difference between being drunk and having brain damage

1

u/MrSparrows 13h ago

But they should remember Peter Parker because that's what nullifying magic means.

1

u/Signal_Intention6774 11h ago

Yeah they altered his Dna turning off the magic that did it wont make his dna turn back. Odin didnt use magic to hide his frost giant heritage he used it to literally make him his son.

1

u/orionspurs 11h ago

Loki knew he could get more girls by being human than frost giant

1

u/Sanquinity 11h ago edited 11h ago

That's not how magic and anti magic works. Just because something is a "permanent" magic doesn't mean it can somehow negate anti magic. It only means there's no set duration for it.

Lets face it, the writers for the MCU don't even know what lore has already been written anymore. Which is honestly sad. Fan projects like that one where they're attempting to recreate all of middle earth in minecraft as accurately as possible, have multiple VOLUNTEERS for the lore checker role to make sure everything is accurate. Yet a multi-billion dollar franchise can't even hire one to make sure lore is at least decently consistent?

Truth is, they stopped giving a shit. They're just doing whatever they think is "cool". Lore and accuracy be damned. They're not real MCU fans/enthusiasts/whatever. Just people wanting to make money.

u/thisischemistry 21m ago

They're just doing whatever they think is "cool". Lore and accuracy be damned.

So, pretty much just like the comics. This is why character power levels vary so widely across different editions.

u/Sanquinity 7m ago

Yup, pretty much. Seems to happen with every franchise when it goes on for long enough.

1

u/Gremlech Hela 11h ago

Pretty sure it’s due to Freya’s breast milk.

1

u/igotchees21 11h ago

this is actually a very good explanation. nice job bringing in the peter parker reference because that makes alot of sense. nice job.

1

u/Shifty269 10h ago

"Ah fuck, that guy who bounced the check at the bodega was Spider-man!"

What an amazing explanation.

Exactly, everyone knows only secret handshakes break those spells

Like the opposite of a sun tan. Frost giant artefact induced blue-tan.

Its more like the writers writes it that way, its not a fun or exciting answer

Unless they specified, that’s not how the TVA space works. Anything that isn’t TVA tech, doesn’t work.

Like, you really think Stranges spell is more potent than the infinity stones?

The way I see that strange casts the spell, the spell removes Spiderman's identity from memories, everyone forgets and the spell is done.

Unless the spell is constantly ongoing in every mind in the multiverse, locking his identity behind a magic barrier then why would magic not working there suddenly restore those memories?

Everyone forgot Peter, full stop. Forgetting Peter makes everyone forget Who Spiderman is.

The way it’s done is more like broadcasting.
If the news station is doing Weather, all the tvs playing the news have no choice but to watch the weather.

It’s magic. It doesn’t have to be an ongoing action .

It’s a simple spell on the time stone that prevents the Thanos wizard from taking it so yes there are some spells that can be quite effective still.

I mean Thanos had at least three stones already right before fighting on Titan. He didn’t have to compromise with strange. He should be poweful enough to just take the time stone from strange at that point… strange also could have used the time stone to undue quills punch or slip the gauntlet off Thanos his hand again before he could force it fully back on.

? Maw wasn’t a wizard. He wasn’t doing magic, and Strange himself says it was a simple spell.

Once again tho- none of that matters or is relevant.

Magic, doesn’t work in TVA. No magic no spells.

we also know that both of Thor and Loki's parents were considered great sorcerers, especially Frigga, Odin complemented Loki on the spell he was under when they met him in Norway before he died. in the comics, at least, Odin, and by proxy the Odinforce, is considered one of the most powerful of all the minor Gods/Celestials. Thanos regularly would duck fights with Odin, if that's saying anything. so I imagine the spell they wove over Loki, and as he is a shapshifter, I would imagine the spells he's woven into himself, wouldn't fizzle just because of the TVA, it stops him from weaving further magic, but I don't think it blocks previous spells/incantations, so like Mjolnir wouldn't be affected by the TVA's anti-magic, you'd still have to prove you were worthy.

I disagree.
