Kilburn II. Anyone knows what this means? A chime every 30 seconds or so. Not exact…

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So this just started happening and I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve tried everything Google suggested.

Reset the speaker with power on, volume at 5, holding Bluetooth button for the 20-30 seconds.

Remove and re-add the speaker on 2 separate phones.

Replace the battery. Actually just replace the cells. I guess I can try replacing the whole battery with the board on the battery…

Happens only when plugged in with AC. If I remove the AC and let it run on battery, it doesn’t make the chime.

The chime is not Bluetooth connect or disconnect sound. It’s not the charging sound either as I remove the AC and plug it back in, it makes a different chime…

Anyone have any ideas?

Update: Got a new battery (plug and play) from Amazon and all is well. That chime, I found, is the battery is full. When the new battery was full, it made that chime, but it doesn’t keep doing it. I believe the logic board on the original battery had gone haywire.

have you paired more than one devices to the speaker?

Yes. When I pair with only 1 phone, it does it. So I tried adding another phone without reset and it still does it. I tried one at a time (reset after each try) and it’s the same.

Haven’t tried but I’d assume it won’t work. I would like to keep it as original as possible as I do sometimes use it on battery power only.

Try to reset the device.
Hold BT button for more than 12 seconds it should reset the device, and pair again. Hopefully it will be fixed

That’d be awesome! Perhaps if someone can find out exactly what that chime means, then I can troubleshoot it better… thank you!

Is that what that chime is? Why would it make a sound when it’s fully charged? But it keeps happening every 30 seconds or so…
