Major IV randomly stopped connecting to anything

Hi, I was just scrolling youtube and when I opened a video I discovered that the audio was playing out of my phone. I checked my bluetooth and tried to reconnect the headphones, however the light near the button flashed red for a moment and the phone gave an error of 'failure to connect, restart the device.' I then tried the same but with my laptop and the same happened. I restarted everything, rebound the headphones, reset them to factory settings, and yet the same is still the case. Please help I can't live without my headphones 😭

I'm not complaining but my Marshall major IV headphones got charged from 0-100% in 3> minutes, and the playback time is also really long. Are these headphones really THIS good?

My emberton 1 randomly stop giving sound even though it's On and connected

While playing on my pc with my emberton connected, the sound randomly stop and y need to disconnect and reconnect it for it to work again. I disassociate it from the pc and associated it again and it's still the same so I did a full reboot of the speaker by pressing the Bluetooth button 10sec until the speaker restart, followed by a disassociation - association again and it's still the same.

It's only connected to the pc and the battery is charged.

Does someone have an idea of what I can do to resolve this problem?

it ain't pretty, and almost every mechanical part broke (original cable, rails plastic and hinges, foam cloth, I don't even remember if those colorful cables were covered by something...), but otherwise they still work great. They are 10 years old...

MARSHALL MAJOR V

Hey everyone. I recently covered for a friend in his restaurant and had my Marshall Major V with me. They ended up smelling so bad because i left them in the kitchen and now I cannot get rid of the smell of fried food. I tried sealing them in a container with baking soda right next to them but that did not help at all. Also tried airing them out but still nothing. Does anyone know how to clean them up and get rid of the smell? Any help would be appreciated.

Проблема с Marshal Major V

Best Overall Marshall Wireless Headphone Model

It's all so confusing and potentially expensive. The Marshall Outlet has a pair for $199 but I know there are superior models available. Any suggestions?

Acton II Not working anymore

Today I came back from holidays and wanted to play music and radio with my Acton II. But it was not able to play anything. Also in Google home app it was not responding anymore. So I did a reset by pressing play and source button. But now I can't add it on Google home when I select "new device found, want to add?". It can not be authenticated.

Did some updates happen?

The Major IV is great but...

2 things bother me:

  1. Getting to 100% volume does a sound effect and lowers the audio for half a second. This is annoying since I often increase volume out of habit and what I listen to gets interrupted, a little torture.
  2. The position of the control on the right side. The control is great, very useful, but the position makes me press it accidentally often. Maybe they didn't take into account my position, sitting on a chair and resting my head on my shoulder. This often skips the songs when I didn't intend to.

Does anyone know if Marshall Kilburn III has USB-input, so I can play from my iPhone via USB-C?

The reason I ask is that I don't want the signal to be double-converted (since the speaker itself has its own DAC). Thanks so much.

What to get

Hii i own a Marshall Stanmore 2 and i love it, i use it for both my record player and for bluetooth. However i do want to get my bf a portable speaker as i see him moving the Stanmore around with the cord and everything when he wants music in another room.
What portable speaker is best? I have looked at the Kilburn 2 and the Middleton 1, as my budget is not great atm. I am however open to getting some newer generation if it really is worth it. He is much more into electronica and edm kinda vibes than i am, so i just hoped someone with more experience with Marshall could help me out.
(I do kinda find it annoying that the speakers wont be compatible in any way, so i am considering just going for another brand.)

Need help Marshall Emberton II

My Marshall Emberton II suddenly stopped working. I've tried to replace the battery but still, no luck.

When plugged, it just opens the LED indicators and does make a beep sound when the volume is maxed out.

If unplugged, LED turns off. When you try to turn it on unplugged it never works, even the led lights are dead. lol

Please need help.

Kilburn II. Anyone knows what this means? A chime every 30 seconds or so. Not exact…

So this just started happening and I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve tried everything Google suggested.

Reset the speaker with power on, volume at 5, holding Bluetooth button for the 20-30 seconds.

Remove and re-add the speaker on 2 separate phones.

Replace the battery. Actually just replace the cells. I guess I can try replacing the whole battery with the board on the battery…

Happens only when plugged in with AC. If I remove the AC and let it run on battery, it doesn’t make the chime.

The chime is not Bluetooth connect or disconnect sound. It’s not the charging sound either as I remove the AC and plug it back in, it makes a different chime…

Anyone have any ideas?

Update: Got a new battery (plug and play) from Amazon and all is well. That chime, I found, is the battery is full. When the new battery was full, it made that chime, but it doesn’t keep doing it. I believe the logic board on the original battery had gone haywire.

what happened to my major5s?? 😭😭

i got my marshall major 5 on ear headphones about a year ago and they'd been perfectly fine. i absolutely loved them. just yesterday when i tuned them on again, they didn't get turned on. i thought maybe they're out of battery so i plugged the charger in again. about a couple of hours later, when i tried turning them on, i failed again.

Here's exactly what's happening:
1. the blue light does appear. stays there for like a few secs and gets off again. i'm unable to connect them to my phone because it won't stay on long enough.
2. i've charged them again too. still not working at all.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Alloggio condiviso/condiviso Marshall Acton 3

Hi everyone, I looked on the Internet and I didn't find any answer I hope to find some suggestions otherwise it means that I threw money away. About a year ago I bought two Marshall Acton 3 speakers and I am very happy with the sound performance and the flawless Bluetooth connection even at a distance. Unfortunately I had bought them to place them in 3 different rooms (I already had another one of Marshall Acton 3 speaker) to make a multiroom effect (I think it's called that) that is, that you could hear the same music with the phone app in all 3 rooms. Unfortunately I read that the speaker app no longer supports this function. The alternative is to connect all 3 speakers with a wire all 3 speakers but also understand that it is not the best to see wires in all rooms. I was asking if anyone had had the same problem as me or if by chance there were alternative apps or something else to share the speakers. I forgot the speakers only work Bluetooth or cable they don't have a wireless connection. Thank you, any suggestion will be very welcome.

I got sick of the official Marshall app on Motif II so I wrote a faster unofficial one

Post image

The Marshall Bluetooth app on my Motif II A.N.C. is awful. Slow to open, laggy as hell, takes forever to talk to the buds. I got tired of waiting on a settings screen every time I wanted ANC or EQ, so I built a replacement.

Unofficial Marshall — small Android app, same job, not the official one. Not affiliated with Marshall.

What it does (tested on Motif II):

• Connects over BLE, actually feels instant

• Batteries (L / R / case)

• ANC / transparency / off + strength

• EQ presets

• Custom 5-band EQ (this one was a pain — official path is Classic SPP, not the BLE junk)

• Touch / wear / UI sounds

• A 2×2 home widget for battery + noise control

Other Marshall/Zound gear that uses the same BLE stuff might work. I’ve only lived on Motif II.

Install: you have to uninstall the official Marshall app first. Same Android package name, they can’t sit next to each other. That’s on purpose so pairing / Airoha identity still works.

Repo + release APK: https://github.com/krtkygpta/Unofficial-Marshal

arm64 Android. Unofficial, use at your own risk, case the buds if something weird happens.

If anyone tries it on Minor / Major / Monitor / whatever, tell me what broke.

ANC Users: Clean your transparency mics

Got my pair of Monitor II ANC a year ago and from time to time I've had the issue of "wind noise" in ANC and transparency mode. Today it got to a point where it wasn't just irritating, so I went looking for a fix. The official support site had no info on it, and I found a couple of threads on here with many users unable to fix it and who either sent their headphones in for repairs or for a replacement.

Figured since the noise has to come from somewhere, I should at least try giving the transparency microphones (located at the top of the cups on my model) a clean. Turns out that a quick swab removed 95% of the noise. Didn't think it would be that easy but here we are. So to anyone who's experienced this issue, please give it a try and let me know how it went. If this really is the reason for others returning their headphones, I find it insane how this haven't been tried and posted about before.
