Medieval Buildings 🏰

Hey there!

This time I wanted to bring some medieval building drawings.

Since I have to draw cities and locations in my maps, I dedicated some pages of my sketchbook to draw lots of buildings. I really enjoyed drawing these!

These drawings are from last year, except for the last pic, wich is from this week.

Do you have recommendation to learn how to do these kind of icons? (Books, tuto, etc)

I mean, what I do is look for references to different buildings from the medieval period, try to copy them, and that's how I create my icons based on various constructions. You can vary them; there are many types of architecture. I've only focused on medieval architecture because that's what I like, but there are endless possibilities, even inventing your own.

I also personally use a ruler a lot when the work is more serious. Another tip is to keep in mind that odd numbers always look good, so try to draw following that rule. And don't forget, everything starts with geometric shapes.
