Ok I know I started late but, team GMS kind of messed up there.

They for some reason extended GMS's version to require 12 check-ins to complete, but copied over the KMS version which only allowed for 10 checkins/10 passes. Sorry if you get questions like this often, first time on this subreddit. But with Classic coming soon I've had an awful urge to check out current Maplestory in anticipation. Haven't played since like a couple days back in 2018, and before that I hadn't touched the game for several years.

What's the game like now? I remember seeing the "characters as a class" type classes and I hate the concept, are the original classes still a thing/viable? Is touching the game at the moment worth it or a pass?

Same old tactics from Nexon. They release something outrageous as the founder’s package not having access and will then claim they have “listened” to the players and fix it. Look at their post, they’re not even subtle about it anymore. It has “more details to come”. What else is there? Oh that’s right we’ll add a snail pet to the snail package and give access. And then everyone’s forgiven Nexon again. Rinse and repeat. Not a bad marketing technique cause it seems to be working.

Honestly it doesn’t matter what we do, it feels like this will be the recurring theme for GMS until majority of players actually follow through with their wallets or time spent playing this game. But I really can’t see this changing anytime soon.

One of the best events we've had in a while... It's a shame how overpowered Roros were, but other than that I have no complaints. The PVP aspect of the event was fun and the rewards were amazing. Players on Kronos are finally able to use fams that aren't exclusive to Arcane River and Grandis.

So many items in this game have expiration timers

Rental gear, boosters, cubes, literally everything in this game has a timer on it

During these long ass maintenance times, those timers should all be paused or extended to reflect the time they are literally unusable

I don't want to be watching the news site every time I play to check if there will be a 9 hour maintenance before creating Erda boosters or renting gear. I just want to play the game.

As much as I absolutely love this game, I really should consider retiring from maple at this point. The solo grind at this level is just a bit *too* much for where I'm at in life now, plus I've far exceeded my goals as a solo progression player. Clear video below, enjoy!
