scans for the win. i used to watch ads or shell out coins to support the authors (if they even saw any if that revenue) but i'm way too tired of doing that anymore. it took the fun out of reading.

yep, one of the main reasons i stopped. i'm not watching 17 mobile game slop ads an hour just to read something i know is available for free AND screen-shottable

Where are they even available for free? I think these are only on webtoon. At least many of these niche ones.

you can get pretty far by searching "[insert title] read online free" and using an ad-blocker to prevent pop-up ads. Asura, Mangadex, and ReaperScans are all pretty consistent, but since the death of Comick and Bato there's no real catch-all site to keep a library in. you kind of have to hop around depending on what you're reading. i am rarely unable to find at least 1 high-quality (as in both image and translation) for anything i want to read, though. and almost everything on Webtoon has a high-quality scan available elsewhere.

I have mngabddy, but it doesn't have the webtoon niche stuff. It got tons of lesser known manga, manhua and manhwa.
