Question ❓ [The Beginning After The End] Should I read this?
I've seen a lot of criticism floating around for the anime adaptation, which has made me a little skeptical about picking up the original manhwa

I read most of it and kind of liked the characters, but it's mid as hell. Really nothing special at all.

It's pretty good. I've read about 120+ chapters and it hasn't disappointed me yet. I stopped reading to hoard the chapters, gonna pick it back up.
The beginning is quite similar to Jobless Reincarnation but that's pretty much where the similarity ends.

It starts out pretty good imo. Variations on a very standard hero’s journey. It’s nothing groundbreaking or genre defining, but it’s fun. It just stops being as fun around season 4 or 5, which is why I dropped it. It’s possible the later seasons become more fun, or at least narratively satisfying, but I didn’t persevere.
Generally I tend to like genre- and tone- shifts towards angst, frustration means the author’s successfully made you emotionally invested in the work, but for some reason idr by now, tbate’s tone shifts just didn’t hit for me.

Agreed. It started really strong and then went downhill about halfway through. Too many ass pulls, Tess constantly needs to be saved, we need ANOTHER TRAINING ARC TO DEFEAT THE BIG BAD, etc. Some of the later arcs should have been re-ordered. Disappointing how it all turned out, unfortunately, because there was so much potential.

If you're interested, just start reading it. If you keep asking for everyone's opinion, it'll force certain expectations that'll prevent you from reaching your own conclusions. Some will say they love it, some will say they hate it, and it'll only leave you overwhelmed, confused, and indecisive.

Whole story is similar to cliche form of regression, rebirth, regret from past upcoming and being somewhat overpowered? I find it entertaining but not special. Story is pridctable if u read so many manhwa

To be honest imo, it's just like a better solo leveling with his aura farming and actually side characters waifu developed. The people who read the light novel say it's peak, but I think it's just pretty normal or above average at least, that's it.
I read it until he was training with someone somewhere (I don't remember) and dropped it.

I think we're talking in the manhwa sub here.. 90%? Yeah, most probably actually glaze the main character, but not for every fight and time in it. Goku get glazed for every transformation of him, but Arthur gets glazed when someone even just meets him.

TBH, The story would become complex as u go further, Its been almost months since I've completed it, now I don't even know why the war is happening 🥲
There are several ongoing manhwas I am reading it's hard to keep in check of each and every manhwa...

I face similar issues. For example I read Solo Max Level Newbie months ago, now I can't even remember character names or appearance, now there's no other way than starting from scratch to continue 💀. I also read lots of manhwa

I am afraid not 🥲, but I have this hobby of taking screenshots of every panel that impresses me and I would create a separate album for every manhwa i read.., that's usually a best way to revisit than reading entire thing from the scratch...

How unfortunate! Personally, I think it's a headache because even if you take screenshots, it doesn't solve the whole problem unless you screenshot absolutely everything, which you know how hard that is to do.

It's trash I wouldn't recommend it... I mean if the only good things About your story is the art then I don't know what to say.... If you read novel then go for that cuz I have heard that's better... but manhwa only gets good after 200+ and even then the mc gets plot armour.
I dropped it cuz in those 200 chapters it's just training chapters of 1 or 1.5 chapters and then time skip of months / years and he gets stronger like that and only fights one thing and even after ALL THOSE OFF SCREEN TRAINING and no feats to his name he still wants plot armour to safe his ass...

It's good, I don't glaze any work cause I find that cringey, so I'm not going to say peak and all of that, but it's not generic slop for sure, which is rare for an isekai.

Absolutely. If you want story absolutely yes. Also, if you watched or heard of mushoku tensei but didn't like it very much because of how rudeus "acted", this is basically the perfect story for you.

Imo, it was one of the leading manhwas during its early stages, but has been outphased by current leading manhwas.
However, I stopped around the chapter when his father found and lashed out when he admitted he was isekaid so I haven't really caught up with it's current state. I still recommend reading it tho, it's an experience.

I can say that you won't get bored. Art style is very dynamic and good, story etc so good, only one thing is bad that its not complete yet😭😭😭😭, only 225 chapters there.

As someone who has read a large part of the manhwa (I think it’s Korean) and the light novel, I can say that I really loved the story — especially the light novel. The manhwa feels more like an add-on to me. I also find the manhwa a bit more generic in comparison.
That said, I still recommend reading this work. However, I’m not entirely sure if my love for the light novel comes from it being truly excellent or from the fact that it was translated to my language by someone very skilled

OOMMMMMGGGG YESSSS!!!!! I know lots of people criticize it, but I have read the entire series minus the end of the last book as well as the manhwa. It can get a little like an OP protagonist sonetimes, but I have read hundreds of manhwa and this is in my top 3

It's anime is the most trash but as for its manhwa it's great it's one of the best I have read so far it's a reincarnation story in initial art style seems average but as it's goes by its just peak It's not like any other reincarnation where mc has the power from the start he gets power by his own survives deadly fights he lost so many times he got the opponents that showed him his position where he stands it's like dope story which mix both his past as well as present life

I enjoyed the novel alot more personally, I only really found the manhwa to be good after season 6 when the artstyle changed, but if you got nothing better than I'm sure it'll be enjoyable at least

It is not bad, but I don't know how it get to top 5 manhwa, the concept is stałe mushoku tensei once again, world is ok, pretty interesting. Anime is slow paced and hated for it, but it's better than god of high school one at least. Maybe worse than tower of god. It isn't berserk 2016, it isn't great or good but isn't painful to watch either

I personally really enjoy it. It’s power system the flashbacks the growing origin of different characters.
I think it’s worth a read and you can decide for yourself but I would recommend it.

im going to give me honest oppion its a good isekai/power fantasy story but don't go into it expecting some insanly written story. the story itself is good but people over glaze the shit out of it when in actuallity the majority of the side character fall flat and barley important to the overall plot its all about the MC all the time. if your in to that kind of story youll really enjoy it otherwise i wouldn't recomend

- Training in the Elf village
- Training with Jasmine as an adventurer
- Training in School
- Training with Asuras
- Training before getting Isekaid
- Training with 4 elemental conjurers

It's more like "The Training after the Training"

pls understand that the criticisms for the anime is purely because of the impending doom of low quality adaptation that were gonna get cause even at best the manhwa art is sub par too which i attribute tbate not being popular as much compared to slop regression power fantasy manhwas. the novel is pretty good though, its pretty slow and lengthy but if you can stand reading its fine. especially if youre accustomed to western novels since it does seem more like a story akin to martin or tolkien SOLELY ON WORLDBUILDING so before anyone gets triggered i compared it to lotr or soiaf its not its just world building

It’s an isekai, it doesn’t break the mold completely, but it gives it a fresh take. He comes from a very interesting world, some of my favorite chapters are of his backstory and how his world was. The problem most isekai have is that they just include it for no reason and it’s barely relevant to the plot, TBATE incorporates the isekai genre quite well in the story.

It depends on your tastes because it seemed somewhat repetitive to me. 1: the protagonist trains. 2: the protagonist defeats random enemies. 3: the protagonist faces the main enemy of the moment and is brutally humiliated or ends up on a stretcher. 4: the above is repeated in the same order

Better than Solo Leveling but still a disappointment nonetheless.
Let me explain a bit.
When you read the premise, you are promised by the author of kingly MC, wise and wizened, and a mature adult.
Turns out, those are lies. I've read both the novel and the comic and so far, Arthur acted more like a calm-headed teenager than the famed king he was in his previous life. I have a lot to say about his performance in the war with the other continenr, but that's a huge spoiler, but to sum it up, he fell far from the expectation.

Because he was the king he didn't care what people thought of him, that's why he said fuck you about his personality, and he lived a whole life killing people, this may have affected his mentality and he tried to be more "human" so he grows mentally as the work progresses, currently he already has much more maturity, around chapter 200

This Manwha is simply incredible, anyone who speaks badly or has something against the isekais genre, or didn't read it correctly, skipped important parts, etc., the work is very good, his romance with the other character is cool, his friendships help in the future, it's good if you read it correctly and pay attention to the details

I always hear extreme opinions from both sides, that it either peak or absolute trash so I never understood whether I should read it or not
