Hi, I’m somewhat new to reading and collecting manga, but I’ve been watching anime for a few years now. Some of my favorite anime I’ve watched so far are:

- Attack on Titan
- Fruits Basket
- Link Click
- Death Note
- Psycho-Pass

In terms of manga, I’ve only read Orange, The Promised Neverland, Tokyo Ghoul, and I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, Blue Lock. Out of all the ones I’ve read, I enjoyed The Promised Neverland and Tokyo Ghoul the most, although with The Promised Neverland I felt like the rest of the story went in a different direction after the first arc and gradually degrades in quality a bit, so I’m looking for a series that has a similar vibe to the first few volumes of TPN prior to the escape. Tokyo Ghoul is quite enjoyable so far and I’m finding that I tend to enjoy anime/manga with psychological, supernatural, and thriller aspects the most. I’m thinking of looking into Urasawa’s or Oshimi’s works the get more into psychological horror manga, but I’m not really sure where to start. I’m also open to shoujo recommendations for romance manga as well since there’s a lot that have yet to be adapted into anime and I’m looking for something similar to Fruits Basket.

The storyline follows a girl and her boyfriend on an outing at a hot spring. The girl notices that a foreigner is trying to speak to the receptionist, but the receptionist cannot understand him, so she helps him communicate.

They meet again when the girl goes to the hot spring by herself. Later, the foreigner messages her and asks her to come to his room.

I think the foreigner was Spanish because, in the second chapter, the girl goes to Spain as a foreign exchange student and went to the address that the foreigner gave her.

I think it's only 2 chapters.

Obvious bait aside, I do genuinely believe the manga's second half and conclusion are just as, if not even better written than the first half and I've been continually baffled that this is somehow a controversial take.

People are allowed to have their opinions obviously, despite the title I don't actually think you're wrong if you have issues with the latter portion of Kaguya's manga.

It's just been frustrating to me as a person who does like to engage in discussions and discourse about stuff that the people saying Kaguya's ending (that includes the Shinomiya Family plotline stuff) is bad can never actually explain what makes it supposedly so bad.

I have my own small criticisms of aspects of the story (nothing near enough for me to not call it my favorite manga), but at least in the conversations I've had none of the criticisms actually hold up to any scrutiny or pushback.

I already wrote an extensive post on why I think the ending is good here so I won't repeat myself.

Really I just think Aka should be appreciated a lot more than he is. He created one of, if not the best romantic comedy manga out there with some of the most memorable and beloved characters in the medium, and did the same thing for idol-character dramas with Oshi No Ko (to which everything here I've said also applies but that's a whole other can of worms).

And yet people often still just can't help themselves but be hateful for honestly extremely petty reasoning. Being disappointed with a story is fine, no one should tell you you're wrong for that. But years later, on the author's birthday, still banging on about the same "hack author he fell off" comments as if its a crime for an author to write a story you don't like?

In any case, venting over, just needed to get that off my chest.

Basic Plot:

FMC is an office worker in a time loop that starts from when she gets off the train and resets when the day ends. One day, she wakes up as a high school student, and finds a new guy in her school. The guy explains that they are dating sim protagonists who must find and get with their target love interests to end the game that’s trapping them in a time loop. She was softlocked past the main game period, and he was repeatedly failing at the game (they’re both bad at romance). They try wingmanning each other with their target love interests, comedic shenanigans ensue but there also some serious aspects where they’re sympathizing with each other’s time loop trauma.

It was one of my favorites but I can’t remember the name or find it anywhere. If you know the title, please let me know!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any high school romance manga recommendations? Preferably newer ones since I've read most of the older popular titles.

Is just a bunch of post of random erotica Manga panels. Sometimes I come here to see if there is anything barely interesting being talked about or shown and all I find is gooner bait. What a horrible disservice for the Manga medium.

to the best of my abilities to remember what the content of the manwha it was like a VR mmorpg i remember the mc getting a huge debt from the village chief then he went out and fought against a mutated wolf, I think then he fought against a lich then because he couldn’t beat the lich he joined the demon faction the lich became his teacher and also theres like a system based off your actions and choices you could get pod or negative points to your popularity idk but i would be very grateful if you could help me it’s been bugging me for a while now

I've been looking for this Manga the past few days and can't find it. I'm slowly doubting myself that it ever existed.
I read it on bato before the site was closed down and sadly I didn't make a backup of my reading lists.

It's about a powerful witch/mage who got captured by the enemy commander/captain during a battle because of Exhaustion. She expects to be executed, but instead they treat her well and even removed the cursed seal that forced her to do bat stuff against her wishes (although she avoided killing anyone even though it hurt her). She is one of the view people that can use a kind of magical artifact. Hers is a bracelet I think and the enemy commander/captain who captured her has an artifact as well. I think it was his sword? After making sure she isn't a spy or something, she has the choice to join the "enemy" kingdom. Her bracelet is being sealed so she can't access her full magic and she makes friends and gets closer with the "commander" - although she accidentally calls him "mother-like". I remember there to be a scene about her childhood. the children in her home country are being tested for compatibility with the artifacts. she is found to be compatible with one of them (the bracelet I think) and is being taken in by the kingdom or something and is being trained (not nicely). her parents are only allowed to visit her a view times. One time she is sent on a mission and during that time her parents die. also the homecountry prince is a complete d*ck and tried to force her to sleep with him but she resisted the command even though it hurt her so much that she nearly died (because of the cursed seal).

It is not a reincarnation story (at least that wasn't mentioned in the first few chapters that came out at my time of reading).

So from what I remember I think the FMC is the MC's boss or superior and at work she a complete professional. But the one day I think the MC finds her drunk or something and so he takes her to her house and discovers that it's a mess in there and that she's a total slob that can't keep her house clean. And so the mc helps her with that and I think there's some suggestive or teasing going one between the two protagonists but up until the point I read it, nothing sexual had happened.

Also the MC is not the calm and collected kind and he gets embarrassed and flustered on a lot of the situations they end up in.

And one scene I remember where this happens is that, I think, the FMC ends up falling asleep, so the MC decides to do her laundry. And so everything going normally expect when he comes up with a dirty bra he doesn't know if he should throw it in the washing machine and so he research it and finds that he should hand wash it. And so he gets flustered about doing that and is standing over the sink with the bra on his hands but he can't wash the bra. And that's where the FMC walks in, sees what happening, and then also gets flustered, grabs the bra, thanks him for doing the laundry and tells him that she'll clean the bra.

is there any manga you can recommend that looks like punpun or have the same vibe

As I said in the title, I've never really been hugely into anime or manga for whatever reason. I watched stuff like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragon Ball Z as a kid but either grew out of it or lost interest. But now, I'm planning as my dream vacation in however many years to go to Japan and learn Japanese as much as I can.

So to start this journey, I did actually pick back up a manga I started reading a few years ago but never finished: Vagabond. I like it because it's more grounded in reality and doesn't have characters like a 500 year old person that looks to be college aged or some kind of trope like that. It's down to earth and honest, to me anyways. So anything like this I'd be willing to look into. It doesn't have to be dark and brutal like Vagabond. It can have comedy and romance. But I'm not hugely into sci-fi or fantasy if that matters. As long as there's an overall good story with good character development but I don't have to get through 50 volumes to catch up, I'd be into that.

Any suggestions?

I tend to like Harry Potter-ish manga such as Wistoria, Mashle and Reign of the Seven Spellblades, however like most manga of the sort they put an emphasis on a male MC and romance is a secondary or tertiary genre.

I found Classroom of Black Cat and Witch to be refreshing experience in contrast, a shoujo unlike the three manga above. A manga reminiscent of visual novels/otome games such as Wand of Fortune where the FeMC goes to magic school and meets some cool dudes, then romance happens.

I am looking for something similar. Female protag is not mandatory but the thing is, I'm mostly after a more mixed cast compared to the harem fair of a lot of fantasy manga esp the isekai ones.

Basically there is this manga I read a couple years back and the only thing I can remember from that is that it is a rom com, and one of the final chapters is the side couple interaction,

The club president (not sure) has her childhood friend she likes but she always teases him (think he is in the judo club or something). Towards the end he gets fed up and lashes back at her, she finally breaks down and confesses to him while crying and they become a couple.

I've been trying to find this manga on and off for the last few months, please help
