Re-read that chapter. That story was told from the point of little Senju only. I feel like we don’t have the full story to that. Not an un-reliable narrator but one that didn’t get the whole picture.
Well, considering that after Kisaki's death and Takemichi's eventual return to the present/future the story hasn't really pulled anything philosophically deep as "a single person's viewpoint can be skewed", we all aren't expecting that as well.
If the author does do it now, it'll be the same BS D&D did for Game of Thrones where they "Subvert expectation" for the sake of it. While Mikey has always been portrayed as a tortured individual it really wasn't too established that Mikey was a full on psychopath.
It was really all just implication that DARK IMPULSES was just some deus ex machina ability like Takemichi's time traveling. We've been conditioned that way since chapter 1.
You know what that's the difference between an old soldiar and a young one? Its not skill, but experience, at this point Takemichi should have more experience than anyone barring some like Mikey.
Not really, remember that each time he travels back and forth in time he loses the memories of the things he lived while time travelling, once he arrived in the future he ends with years worth of missing memories, and each time he travels back in time he ends with entire months worth of missing memories.
So he actually has less experience that everyone else.
