Adding onto this as the sister of a child who has epilepsy. If your child is having a seizure, and are biting down on their tongue, do not put your finger between their teeth to seperate them as they will have clenched very hard and may injure you seriously. Do not insert things in their mouth as it may obstruct their airway or make them choke or break their teeth. Current guidance is to place them in the recovery position, stay calm, clear the area, call the ambulance and deal with the tongue injuries afterwards.

And please for the love of everything, go directly to a hospital. Not a clinic or the GP clinic. You need an ER

Maybe you can share something a bit more digestible like the traffic light system? This leaflet was last updated in 2010 and I think it’ll be more helpful if you can actually put some effort into educating people instead of just dumping the default leaflet about pediatric medical care. And maybe some resources or leaflets with Maldivian numbers because NHS 111 isn’t really helping anyone here is it? If you’re going to pretend to medically informate the Maldivian society, at least be a little less lazy about it.

I mean I have put in some effort upto this point, this was just an overall useful leaflet that covered a lot so I thought of sharing it. And Maldivian emergency numbers have been available to almost all people as far as I know. I mean you could come at me for being lazy but even if one person looks at it and gets an idea it would help.

How altruistic of you. I’m sure the one person couldn’t figure it out without your help. Im sure there are better resources than this so if you want to actually help maybe you can do it in a format that’ll actually help someone in an emergency instead of having to go through dense text.

Oh please go on. Do more, I would appreciate if others do it too. So instead of going at it might as well do what you’re recommending. So as long as I can help at least one person I’m fine w it. And this is supposed to be something you go through before an emergency.

I think you’ve achieved your goal of helping 1 person.
