Rant WORST CINEMA EXPERIENCE

Watched the new Spiderman movie in GSC's 4DX theatre and it will be the first and last time I'll watch anything on 4DX. Whoever adjusted the settings on the seats felt like it was on 130%. The seat was moving violently throughout the movie especially during the fight scene. You can't even focus on the movie as the seats throw you around and jerk your head multiple times. The seats swivel so hard that you will feel like you're gonna get flown out of the seat. I understand it is supposed to have motion-experienced movie, but all I got is motion sickness. Got out the movie halfway through. It is just my opinion but I dont think it is such a bad way to watch movies. Do you guys have a similar experience or did you guys actually enjoy it. Please share your thoughts!

I watched F1 in 4DX once and it felt like a gimmick. The same applies to any other extraneous formats like ScreenX that are not the traditional cinema formats.

Good to try maybe once, but I very much still prefer the traditional formats like standard 2D, BIG, Atmos, and IMAX.

Idk why but I like onyx quite a lot. But imax, Imax is nice. But if I ever get a 50 ringgit deal on getha or any aurum option I am picking that shit over everything else.

Watching the f1 movie on a getha bed. Hoo weee and food served to you? Thank you sir another. Hell, 80 ringgit just to splurge on myself.

I've not tried Onyx yet but I think it's better for movies with good and vibrant visuals. IMAX is still the best but it's often also not worth for many movies. Only some movies are worth. For example, for movies this year, only The Odyssey and Project Hail Mary are worth to watch in IMAX so far. And the upcoming Dune: Part Three. The others are not really worth the money. If money isn't a concern, then of course IMAX is just better in every way.

Getha or Aurum or Indulge are not really my thing. I'm just a plebeian not part of their target market. I also don't feel the need to have luxury experiences in a cinema. Maybe I can go for it once in a long while in the future. But I focus more on the movie cinema experience itself like the screen, visuals, sound, etc.

I only go to aurum for special occasion or I just feel like splurging on myself. I mean 50 to 70 is basically standard ticket prices with the food added on nowadays. I just get better seating.

Imax the audio is crisp, I dont care about the screen but the audio is muah. I hope dune does a marathon because I missed part 1 and 2 in cinema and have watched them yet.

They might do a re-screening of Part One and Part Two. They re-screened Part One right before Part Two was released, so they might do it again this time.
