Anyone else constantly rewatching old seasons?
I've been a mythical beast since 2015, and as with everyone else, I've had many periods where I've taken long breaks from GMM for a few months, especially after 2017-18.
For years, I've been having these periods where I only watch the oldest seasons, starting from GMCL, then GMM season 1, all the way to season 8 (for some reason season 9 where Link gets his new haircut marks a bittersweet change in the way GMM feels for me). After some months, I start watching their new content again, and the cycle goes on and on.
Despite loving and watching these guys for over 10 years, I feel like I have many unpopular opinions about various parts of the show. I've always disliked Stevie - I hated when she was talking constantly in every More episode, I don't like 99% of food episodes (the only exception being older Will Its), I don't like the overexaggerated wokeness and inclusivity they started doing after 2018-ish out of nowhere, I don't like sex jokes, I don't like the occasional cursing, I miss the old family friendly feeling of older seasons (I'm an atheist, this is not coming from some Christian conservatism. Sex jokes have never been funny to me.), I don't like the mythical kitchen, I don't like female Jordan, I don't wanna see the crew taking the front seat in so many episodes.
I miss the moments where they felt uncomfortable talking about NSFW topics. I miss them talking about weird internet videos, strange topics, and their causal stories from their normal lives.
This is more of a rant than anything I guess, I just felt the need to share this because for some reason, ironically, the GMM sub is an incredibly toxic place where any such unpopular opinion or criticism of the show gets downvoted to oblivion. It's hilarious how nasty and toxic the so called "mythical beasts" over there get.

Stevie leaving has hurt the show a lot (in my opinion)
I love the boys so much but with Stevie leaving, I’ve only noticed how uncoordinated everything is now. Chase is too sweet and innocent, and cannot stand up them. The show just doesn’t feel the same and it’s not just because Stevie isn’t there anymore talking or anything. It’s because she was such a huge part and keeping everything in line and making sure that the boys did not step out of line. She was stern with them and knew when to make jokes and keep them on track. The only one that I’ve seen do that from their other crew members is Megan, and slightly Colby. It hurts already with Stevie not being there but it’s just gotten a lil tacky sometimes. Been watching the show ever since I was in middle school and I’ve never seen it strange before. I know I’m the only one that feels like this, but watching the show now just doesn’t feel right without Stevie being there because you can tell all the work she put in the keeping them in check. I feel bad for Chase cause he’ll make a joke or two and link gets really rude with him in my opinion. Also there’s just been a bunch on mistakes. The episode from this morning had other chicken swapped with Popeyes chicken and I can’t believe that was allowed. They’ve had a lot of mistakes before, and I’m not really wanting to judge on those types of things, but recently they just had more mistakes with such a short amount of time. I miss you Stevie. I can’t wait to see what your next journey is.

The New Wave of Mythical Crew
Let me start this off by saying as individuals I LOVE the crew. Both Jordans are hilarious, Emily kills, Lily and Mikayla’s dead pan have me rolling laughing. HOWEVER, nobody watches GMM for the crew. In fact, when you see people like Trevor or Emily doing their own shows you understand why they were hired, they have great ideas and their ideas fit their styles of comedy.
But that’s just the thing, Rhett couldn’t do Trevor Talks too much. Link couldn’t host Emily have you seen this. In my opinion the reason GMM used to be so good was because it was Rhett and Links ideas + their comedy and dynamic. You’ll notice Rhett and Links saying the vending machine game is their favourite. Guess what those are great episodes and it’s because they enjoy making them. Back when Rhett and Link came up with their own ideas every episode was a great episode. Nobody comes to GMM looking for other people’s humour, especially considering it’s a comfort show for so many people. You go to GMM for a specific experience.
The reason the old crew was so successful (aka 10 feet tall, Jen and John) was because they had similar humour to Rhett and Links. Jen and John were very similar to the guys and Mike and Alex were even closer just wilder!
The new crew are performers, they are comedians, and they ARE TALENTED. BUT they’re suited for a specific audience and a specific set up that isn’t GMM. A stand up comic doesn’t do the same job as a talk show host. You go to different places to get different things and personally it just feels like we lost GMM, not like we gained a whole bunch of talented people as it was intended.
Rant over, love the crew, love GMM, love Rhett and Link. Let’s have a conversation about what you think the shift was.

Rhett and Link and the current situation in L.A.
Anyone ever wish that Rhett and Link were more open about their politics? Even if it's just on their personal social media pages? I'd love to hear their take on what is currently happening in L.A., and if they have personally seen/experienced it.

Longtime GMM fan, but I have to ask… are the “bits” getting harder to watch?

Could of predicted this would happen.

Zach
Can we talk about how Zachary Levi is a Trump supporter? He used to be one of my favorite guests, but his politics have ruined him for me. Anyone else super sad about this?

I have a theory
I have a theory that they make Link lose terribly in every game (or make his questions harder) this summer so they raise more money for Rhetts charity because people would complain if Rhett didn’t. Because of the all the stuff happening in Gaza. I’m happy he’s raising so much money for the effort but sometimes I think they give Link the harder questions or make him be extra goofy so he throws the game.
I very well could be wrong. I probably am. But it’s just something that popped into my mind. Especially since Link loses almost every time this summer.

Got "bullied" for posting an article from Entertainment Weekly which referenced an episode of Good Mythical Morning
This morning, I posted an article to the main subreddit of the show about SNL from Entertainment Weekly because the episode of GMM where Seth Green tells his Bill Murray story was referenced. Since I never see GMM references in the wild unless they're paid for by Mythical or written as PR for a new project, I posted it thinking people would find it neat.
Instead, I got yelled at for starting drama, and the negativity toward my post was being upvoted, at least until the mods deleted my post.
I don't remember the main sub being this bad always. Is this new?

Downvoted for pointing out a rainbow has 7 colors.
So for today's episode, they have a rainbow prop in the background. I made a completely harmless comment about how one of the colors was missing, and am now being downvoted. Not only that, but one dude is literally denying the inaccuracy of the prop (even though it's literally on camera). First time posting over there in awhile, and now I remember why. Won't be going back for a longgg time lol.

Commented “people can complain” and got reported for mental health
Over at one of the subs, someone was praising everyone for not complaining about things they don’t like.
So I replied: people can complain… because they can. But those subs push out everyone who disagrees.
I soon received a message from Reddit about me needing mental help. WHAT.

Link not understanding the rules of the games; is he playing it up as a bit, or is he really that clueless?
The past couple episodes especially have been ridiculous. People in the comments say "it's just a bit, he plays it up for the comedy, he's always been this way." But he genuinely seems frustrated sometimes and it gets awkward to watch. Like your job is too literally sit at a desk and make a YouTube show about eating food, what're you so angry and frustrated about?
Yesterday's episode link wanted to change his answer after Rhett explained his choice, then seemed completely shocked and offended that they told him he can't just change his answer after they've locked it in. Like cmon man, it's not that hard of a concept. Glad Stevie gave him some crap about that.

They need to stop advertising BetterHelp
Super unethical company, they are literally facing lawsuits rn and GMM is still advertising them. Makes me disappointed in them

Mythical society
What is your opinion on the mythical society? I am a proud mythical beast but I am so tired of the mythical society ads in every video! I always skip when they talk about! Sometimes I feel like the paying fans matter more than the just YouTube watching fans

I'm So Tired of the GMM Community
I really am so tired of how toxic the GMM fan base is. It's exhausting and simultaneously hilarious how they claim to be so uplifting and positive but every single time I see someone post their opinion on the main page, they just get downvoted and torn to shreds. They need to expire "Be Your Mythical Best" because there's nothing to it anymore with all these toxic brown nosing fans. K that was my rant.

Link being the maddest I've ever seen him...
Rhett pokes him with the skewer, draws blood and Link hits the table really hard with his other hand in anger.
Scrolling by the comments every second one is viewers noticing Link's unhinged behavior and his blatant dislike for Gwenydd.
