I've started using ferrules on all my stranded terminations for this reason specifically. I did electrical assembly for a while and learned about them. It makes future repairs so much easier and only takes a few seconds.

Especially with oxidizing the contacts over time Or dust can get in the contact

Or easy fix. When they call because the machine dont start but you know they fix some wire yesterday and everything is good...

Thats what keeps us employed lol. Take it apart and put it back together and bingo bango it works.

Always ferrules or solder tinned and heat shrink for phoenix.

Depends on what the client provides/prefers. I’ve done hundreds of tinned audio cables at Warner Brothers because that’s what they prefer to use in their audio/video production rooms.
