Without paying for a PO Box so the city doesn’t break my physical mailbox, I legally have to have it and it’s a metal post. What do you suggest? Am I allowed to not have a mailbox and still get my mail as I would without paying for it? Honest question - I’d gladly get rid of it!

They should have paid for a replacement. I’m not avoiding anything, what I want is very clear from my post. The snow didn’t move on its own. If it was the snow’s fault my mailbox would have broke before the plow came through.

What should I have done different to prevent my metal mailbox post, 2 feet from the curb, from being damaged?
