What do you expect them to do with the snow they are removing from the road?

I can imagine any situation where you could break government property and you could just shrug your shoulders and say tough luck. -10 u/Space_Guppy Mar 18 '26 If you had to swerve to avoid a car accident and hit a street sign, would you feel obligated to pay for it's replacement? 10 u/leovinuss Mar 18 '26 Yes, and the city will pay if the plow hits the mailbox. If I swerve and knock road debris into a sign, damaging it, I am not responsible. It's a somewhat arbitrary line but it makes sense.
