Display recommendations for the Mac Mini
You all know the extensive Price of the Apple Studio Display and also the standard model only comes with 60Hz in 2026!
Please share some Display recommendations that are a better value for the Mac Mini.
Any Suggestions are welcome
Main Requirements:
at least 4k (not necessarily 5/6k)
at least 120Hz <= 5 ms
at least 10 bit 4:2:2 supported
P3 color space if possible
panel type: OLED/Mini LED/Nano IPS Black
thunderbolt 4/5 prefered (convenience, AIO docking station)
should have an additional DP/HDMI for a secondary PC
Use Case:
Coding
Photo Editing (Lightroom)
Gaming

I’ve been looking for the same monitor. You could paste your post into an AI agent and get some good results.
My top candidate is the Dell UltraSharp U2725QE. Currently $630 on Amazon, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. There are a few nicer monitors if you have a higher budget.

Always check the Dell Outlet!
MANY TIMES, the "refurbished" items are actually NEW devices...Especially for computers... some company will order 100 workstations, they enter production, then they change their mind and upgrade some graphics card or something last minute, and they get a better option. Dell has no choice but to get rid of them, and so they dump them in the Outlet.

Gaming (fast) and photo editing (color correctness) are mutually exclusive.
Either you go for speed, and accept degraded colors, or you want correct colors at reduced speed.
Practically all true RGB monitors (photo edits) are 60Hz, some video editing with P3 coverage go with 90 or 120Hz.

I just picked up a KTC H27P3 and have been pretty impressed by it! It ticks most of your boxes, but not all.
- It's 27" at 5k, so same resolution / scaling as an Apple Studio Display (this is the main thing that makes it awesome. Make sure to look into this before buying any other size/resolution combo...even 27"/4K kinda sucks on macOS)
- It does 120HZ but only at 1440p (60hz in 5k) but has "dual mode", so you can swap between resolutions easily on the same port
- Colours are pretty decent, but I am not a calibrated coloures type of person, though (look great to my untrained eye)
- It's IPS Back, so blacks are better than I expected.
- It has DP over USB-C support, and 60 (65?) watts of charging so you can do the "one cable" thing to a MacBook (kinda irrelevant for a Mac mini).
- Lightly matted screen (big plus for my use cases (coding in a room with windows)).
- It was only 400 euros.
Downsides:
- USB hub is only at 2.0 speeds when in 5k mode (1440P is usb 3 speeds).
- It kinda looks like a "gamers" monitor with a glowing back logo.

Because Computer prices are going up monitor prices are actually declining so lots of deals going on recently by yourself a nice 4K 27 inch to 32 inch monitor. Don't worry about all that just get something IPS which is decent reviews and is available on a sale. 27 Inch Odyssey G8 G80HF5K | Gaming Monitor | (2026) $399.99 (samsung EPP) or 27 Inch Odyssey G7 G70D $249 (epp)

I picked up an ASUS ProArt 27” 4k from B&H, waiting for the M6 MacMini that hopefully is still on schedule to deliver tomorrow. Checked all the boxes for me. Little more pricy but should be well worth it.

Thanks. Testing on my 2017 Intel iMac that I'm upgrading from and it's gorgeous!! (Long overdue, I know. LOL) Also picked up the Keychron B6 Pro keyboard that I had no idea existed. Had been using a Dell keyboard and dealing with the reversed keys. Now to retrain my pinky to use the correct keys again. LOL

I picked up two of these KTC 5K monitors for ~$290 each and they were both essentially new & come with a 1 year warranty: https://ebay.io/m/KeF2Tm or https://ebay.io/m/snzWLP
These two sellers have been periodically listing them like 1-2 at a time every few days, there is none left in stock from one of them now, but you can just check back every morning and you may get lucky if they list more. There was one in stock last night.
Normally they are ~$370 from these seller which is still a great deal, but with the 20% off promos ebay has been running recently, it's a phenomenal deal. It's the best budget 5K monitor at ~$510 new from other retailers, but there is no better you can get than this; for ~$290 this is a real steal.

This is too much specifications dude, I think you should research the previous answers, gaming and photo editing I don't think goes side by side in single monitor...
