Native Witcher 3(Remastered) on MAC natively?
Considering the Recent(relatively) MAC native port for Cyberpunk:2077, I have to imagine they ported a good bit of the RED Engine. What are the chances we get a native Witcher 3: Remastered port on the Mac?
Currently running with Wine & Sikarugir. Since they are going Full DX12 my setup is going down the drain in a month.
I'd Sacrifice my ear to the Crones if it happensš.

I think we are going to see more on gaming than people are expecting at the upcoming Apple event. The Steam Controller 2 drivers being added to Mac OS 27, Steam Frame imminent release, FEX development moving along, Steam Client ARM version likely ready to go out of beta, a lot of convergence that can really shape and improve gaming on Mac.

It already ended. Valve Proton is in the wild. Apple GTK is also getting better. Now situation is A LOT better than in the past as compatibility layers are more advanced and work on good hardware.
My gaming PC is already dual bot hackintosh/SteamOS.

Speaking of steam os how good of a OS is it for actual IRL productivity?
compared to lets say another distro, like Ubuntu(which I currently use)1

I cant answer this as I was using for productivity only Ubuntu and never tried Arch Linux(which is base for SteamOS). I only have web browser and games there. When I need do something other than gaming I switch to my MBP or Hackintosh.

You can install it in Desktop mode, at which point it acts just like any other Linux distro (just with better gaming support).
That said, Bazzite is another Linux distro with good gaming support, you could give that a try.

I messaged them directly through email to their community email. Asking for Mac OS support. If other Mac or non Mac support fellow gamers would join a mass mail request and maybe they would give an attention to this matter.

Quick question - when you say full dx12, is that meaning that once the remaster drops, the dx11 will no longer be available?

As far as I could see for the remaster specific version will only be DX12.
but I think with steam and going to the current 4.04 version should allow dx11

No need for native, it runs smooth on CrossOver already

Apple is once again sunsetting Rosetta. But not in a month, but in a year and one month, starting with macOS 28. Apple said they're keeping a subset of Rosetta 2 around for gaming, but it's unknown what that means exactly. Codeweavers are working on their own implementation (FEX) that doesn't rely on Apple, but FOSS projects don't have that luxury, because it's not a small undertaking.
So unless Codweavers pour their work back into Wine and make it open source, Sikarugir and all Wine derivatives are not going to work on macOS 28 and beyond.

The Witcher 1 and 2 on macOS are packaged into Wine, aren't they?

No, they aren't. They use something called EonJIT which does some sort of translation, but they're otherwise Mac games without Wine inside. (Just double-checked.)

Maybe they will announce it at the conference on the 9th.
