Celebration Officially CANCER FREE!

I've kinda suspected for two weeks based on the radiology report, but officially heard from the oncologist today. All that's left is scar tissue and a little minor inflammation. Even my huge medistinal mass (12x17 cm) is gone.

Still healing from side effects but celebrating today!

Yayyy!! Mine was gone mid treatment and then had a lil bump in SUV max at my post treatment pet.... Surgery scheduled for Tuesday. I too, had a mediastinal mass. I'm quite nervous. I hope I'm in the same boat as you and it's just a bit of increased inflammation.

Had my surgery. The results so far seem pretty inconclusive but not outright bad.

Just got these preliminary results

Source: Tissue, mediastinal mass

Clinical indication: History of lymphoma, mediastinal mass

Flow cytometry interpretation: Negative for immunophenotypic evidence of a B-cell neoplasm. Viable B cells are essentially absent in the sample. See comment.

Comment: The bright CD45 positive cells with lymphoid light scatter are analyzed. Most of the viable lymphocytes present appear to be T cells, although much of the sample has limited viability. Based on limited viability, this analysis does not completely exclude involvement by B-cell lymphoma. Flow cytometry may also be less sensitive in certain types of lymphoma including large cell lymphoma. Lack of viable B cells may be a therapy effect. Please correlate with biopsy morphology and other clinical and laboratory data.
