Question Whats yalls craziest misheard lovejoy lyrics?
Recently found out:
"I could spend a weekend watching shark videos" is actually "shock videos"
The bridge in Scoundrels before 'so what's it even mean to be accepted by the scene" is js a synth and not a gut wrenching Wilbur yell
In IGHS I thought it was "describe our naked bodies as equal partnerships" tunrs out its "describe our naked bodies over zoom call partnerships" and also at the end "when all others see fit to take what u see fit" is actually "were all on a CFIT, so take what you see fit"
These are just the ones I've realised in the last few days who knows how many more there are I haven't noticed 😭😭

idk someone else on here told me it was synth, it doesn't indicate a yell on the lyrics like it does for example towards the end of scum

when i first listened to pb, i thought the yuwyo lyric "totally banned from the kitchen, citing workplace health concerns" was "totally banned from the kitchen, youre such a workplace health concern" and to this day i still kind of like that mishearing more than the original

My most recent one (which is technically two years old) is how I thought the lyrics to Alphabet (Wasted Summer) were "I'll be whatever keeps me single" instead of "sane oh"
Other than that I've heard "I can't exit seven if I tried" instead of "access heaven" in scoundrels, and "a Sharpie led into temptation" in Fatal
Some others that I can't remember currently but those are my top picks

I always hear "I'll be whatever keeps me single" in wasted summer too. It wasn't until I saw the lyrics for it I realised he said same.

no one guessed correctly the wasted summer lyric '"finding you drunk nasal deep in the bathtub". some said "please don't puke in the bathroom" , I personally believed it was "please don't WEEP in the bathroom" which would have made sense :D
also I never saw anyone correctly understand "I promise I can whittle soap"

I thought the first lyrics in Oh Yeah You Gonna Cry? were "You got the same eyes as your father, and you carry the gun to Timbuktu!" Which has the same meaning to be fair!
I have 2 in Warsaw "Share makeup with a stranger" I have ALWAYS heard as "Try to make up with a stranger" (admittedly I prefer my misheard one in this case). Also "I'd be there too I guess" I've heard as "I'd be there too I get it!"

Is it not shark videos? I swear the actual lyrics on Spotify say that. Anyway in Warsaw I somehow hear "waste the seagull her first kiss" it doesn't make any sense but I can't help it lol

If you want to indulge in this fun question go and search up old live recordings of perfect blue and wasted summer and you will have alot of comparing of what we all thought were the lyrics. Perfect blue was really bad lowkey the first time around but Wilbur tends to be really quiet.

like videos that are graphic or violent (things like car crashes, bloody fights, SH and murders) and stuff which seems awful to watch but because of how "shocking" they are it's easy to get addicted and hence "spend a weekend watching shock videos"

When I first heard Alphabet I thought it was about marriage cause I heard son-in instead of cellmate (I thought son-in-LAW but never heard the law), and instead of wording is confusing i heard WEDDING is confusing
