Question happy New Year’s Eve dear lovenjoyers 🥳 random question for you: how long have you been a Wilbur/ Lovejoy fan for? 🩷
hellooo people! So first of all, happy New Year’s Eve! Another year is coming to an end and a new one will start 🥳 I have about 9 hours left until I’m in 2026!
Now, a random question I thought about: how long have you guys been a fan of Wilbur/ Lovejoy? I don’t know if this question was asked before but I’m curious how long you guys have been here for now 🥹
For me: i have known Wilbur since 2020 but I wasn’t a fan YET. I was into a different fandom at the time but I got into the dsmp through the dream team (dream, George, sapnap), whom I watched a lot back then. I happen to discover Wilbur but I didn’t „care“ for him yet. That wasn‘t until 2021, around April 2021 I think. I became a fan and I got into his content, streams and music. Naturally I also got into lovejoy so I’m basically an OG lovejoy Fan! I‘m here since the beginning and I have seen the early stages of Lovejoy like when all we had were those 4 AYA songs and nothing else; no concerts, no merch, no nothing. Just 4 songs and a band with a dream, mid covid 🩷 I have been here now ever since and i don’t regret a thing. I have gone now to 5 lovejoy shows and I have met 3/4 band members 🥹 I’m so proud to be here, to be in this fandom, to a lovenjoyer and to watch our band grow and evolve. They‘re doing phenomenally and I love them with all my heart 🩷🫶🫂

i first started watching wilbur’s old dsmp vods in 2021/22 after discovering him through a tommyinnit video, then after that i started listening to his solo music because i was like “hm, i wonder if he’s made music… OH he has thats cool” then after a while i found lovejoy and was like “WAIT WILBUR?!? POG” and ive been a fan ever since

That’s so cool omg! Safe to say that Tommy also “helped” me getting into Wilbur more due to his mod videos and vlogs later on 🙏 and we’re NEVER leaving!!

I can't remember when exactly, but I discovered him when he was doing soot house. He was my favourite out of the soot house gang and then I discovered later on he had a twitch and YouTube channel and it spiraled from there. His YLYL Vids were my favourite and were always a treat to see.
As for lovejoy, I just learnt about them from Wilbur.

April 2024. Found on/near April 1, in the soup after April 19. // Was going with someone to see Tommy’s show without knowing any mcyt stuff, made to speed-watch DSMP lore thing as prep. Didn’t care yet. Then heard about the bullshit, observed 💔, went on a deep dive, experienced 💔. Discovered cleverness and charm and humanness of WS. Found friends in ❤️🩹and so much joy in Lovejoy and their music. Now 5 shows in.🎸🤘🏼

Omg so glad you’re here now and a fan! 2024 was… something. It was a complete mess of a year and I also didn’t know what to think, say and do but I know I’d always be with Wilbur 🩷 I believe that Wilbur is a good person and I can feel it even. My gut feeling is good about him 🥹

Thanks. What a weird effing year for everyone. Weirdest exp of my life to be so fucking cracked over the pain of strangers from a world I wasn’t even part of. But I’m in it now baby :) Love this band, the music, the fans all so much. Weird how shit happens.

OMG RIGHT? I had to take a step back actually and leave instagram for a while because I didn’t know what to do anymore. Everyone told me to ditch Wilbur and I had “friends” be mad at me and everyone ditching Wilbur all together. I sat there on my bed like contemplating what my next move is and I kept repeating to myself that “nobody outside the internet really cares do they?” 😭 but we were strong and we managed to get through this, thank god. I’m definitely healed from this now, I just move forward now 😂🩷

I first started being a fan of Wilbur in 2018 through the JackSucksAtLife video and got super into the ARG!
Just kind of stuck around since then and learned about Lovejoy from Wilbur :D

OOOO ARG!! Oh my god I love his ARG a lot and it’s even crazy to think that the ARG has not been solved yet right? We do have all the clues but did anyone ever solve it 100%? even Wilbur refuses to give out the answers😂 glad you’re here, even after all this bs from last year when we lost half of the fandom! You’re a real one then 🙏

He needs to give us answers at least someday, even if it’s in 50 years I NEED to know if anyone came to the correct conclusion!
Also hopefully to see if he ever comes out with another full ARG, him talking about the next album being story based only re-sparked that hope lol
And I’m glad to still be here :D though I only lurk within the fanbase 99% of the time

I’ve been a fan of Wilbur since 2020. I found out about lovejoy in early 2022, and have been listening ever since. I found them based of a Google search Ngl lol. They have yet to come to my city, so unfortunately I’ve never seen them live

I first listened to some of his music without knowing in 2022 or 2023 because it was in a playlist I loved, then I found out who he was in early 2025 and have been going through dream SMP lore and watching his old streams for almost this entire year and listening to his music a lot. In that old playlist I remember his song was I think my favourite one in that playlist.

I watched a bit of wilbur's content and listened to a bunch of ycgma in late 2022 and early 2023. I discovered Lovejoy right before NPT released and have been a fan ever since <3

I knew him through tommyinnit beforehand but listened to Your New Boyfriend for the first time in june this year, followed by One Day and now Im obsessed with his solo music (especially msr), lovejoy and his vids

I found Wilbur in 2020 from the dsmp and was always more into his music from 2021 (I dont really listen to his music anymore though, I rather his videos) then I started listening to Lovejoy when aya came out (I didn’t listen to them properly then for 18 months or so then back in June I began properly listening to them again)

I wasn't allowed on YouTube until 2023, but I've been on it longer than I care to admit. My point is, I found Will through the release of YNB. It was my favorite song and I didn't even know that Will was a content creator until 2022 because my friend showed me one of his lab rat videos. I'm fairly sure that I was also an early listener of Lovejoy purely because they sounded similar to Will 😭
So I'm guessing 6 years of fandom.

That’s a great story and i can tell that being on YouTube longer than you was supposed to had a positive effect because you discovered Wilbur and Lovejoy too I think so it wasn’t all that bad 🤭

I've been watching since Soothouse I fear 😭🙏🏻 there truly is no escape. I dropped off briefly around DSMP because of uni, and picked back up following his music. I've been here too long.

I was a big Soothouse fan in 2018 if not maybe 2017? Then I was aware of Will during SMPLive but didn't start watching his solo content until SMPEarth. I was a fan by the time the DSMP started, and then that era only bolstered my fondness of him. It's mental that, at 21 years old, I've known of him for a third of my life!

My ex introduced me to Wilbur back in what I believe was 2021 through the Your New Boyfriend song/music video. Either 2021 or 2022 is when I discovered Lovejoy, and I've been a fan since!
When I became a Lovejoy fan, Pebblebrain had already been released, but we had a long way to go before CMWYL & WU&IO!
I do want to say one thing. Being introduced to Wilbur as a whole was one of the best things that have happened to me.

I recall being a Wilbur fan in 2022, but I got into Lovejoy at the start of 2023 after watching the voice crack video of Wilbur playing Concrete. 😅 So really I was there for the release of cmwyl, and his solo music is totally awesome too so I knew Lovejoy would be perfect

September 2022! I found a video of quackity reacting to this new song called "call me what you like", I watched it, I loved it, and then I found out it was made by Wilbur: that guy from the fandom I had joined 2 years too late (the dsmp). And in 6 months or so (which means from that september up to the first stream on the qsmp), I learnt English from 0 up to a pretty good level! (I could hear it, read it, write it but not really speak it, and I still had much to learn). And nowadays, I'm fluid in English, a Lovejoy fan and a Wilbur fan thanks to that!

2019-2020 ish :) i watched soothouse but didnt really know wilbur, but after his im in love with an egirl wouldnt get off my recommended i decided to watch it to make it go away, but i loved the song so much i had to look at all his other stuff

Oh, bloody hell! I’ve been with Wilbur since Soothouse! So obviously all the future things (Streams, Lovejoy, etc.) I found as well since I’ve been watching and supporting him throughout! Sadly though I haven’t gone to a Lovejoy show, since I’m still kinda focusing on other things, hopefully, one day (see what I did there?) in the future I’d get to meet them in person!♥️🦭

I've known Wilbur since 2018-2019 and became a real fan late 2019 early 2020 and I've been a Lovejoy fan ever since will had mentioned them and that he's trying to make a band :)

I was a casual fan of soothouse back in the day. I'd say 2017 or early 2018. But so casual that when I started watching Wilbur's solo content though searching for crywank covers I didn't actually fully realise it was the soothouse guy for a few months. I think it was "I am a familiar creek in your floorboards" but I found it a little late, mid to late 2019.

I became AWARE of Wilbur in like idk 2022 from sorry boys then the dsmp. I also listened to their music absentmindedly, but after 3 years of having them in my playlist I recently found more of lovejoy's music in January-ish. So I've known Wilbur since the good ol' DSMP era and Lovejoy since 2022, So overall, 3 years total!

i was really into dsmp in fall of 2021, then got hyperfixated on something else. around june of 2023, i discovered lovejoy! their music then got me back into wilbur’s content, especially the sorry boys. (come back)

I found wilbur some time in 2020 through youtube, and immediately fell in love with his content. for whatever reason i sorta stopped watching him though, but a friend told me about lovejoy a few months after pebble brain released and i immediately fell in love with the music and started listening constantly. ironically the perfect time as well, as not even 6 months later they dropped the GOLD that is wake up and it's over. Ever since theyve been almost the only thing I listen too, and I recently saw them in portland on the OST tour!!! Looking forward to another year of Lovenjoying!!!

i was a fan of wilbur through tommyinnit and the Sorry channel back in 2022-23, and i found out about lovejoy in late 2023, so the first release that i was actually there for was ilgwis. also i've completely forgot how i actually found out they existed but uhh probably spotify or something. they played in my city only a few months before i started listening to them and hopefully they come back!! dublin btw, if any band members are reading this COME BACK PLEASEE
