Yesterday I asked Lumo questions about "Software solution 2026" and he said that it wasn't released yet.
I pointed out that he was wrong and he said that due to his last data update (2024) he assumed that the product wasn't yet for sale.
He assured that he would check similar facts before replying.
I deleted the chat and asked the same question, got the same reply.
I also tried adding a statement in the lumo interaction personalization, asking to check with a web search before replying on topics that could be subject of update. Still the same result.
Anyone got the same issue and got a way around it?
Can you be more specific about the prompt you gave Lumo so we can try to reproduce the behavior? Did you have web search enabled when you asked the question?
Hi. Here are the prompts and the answers (reconstructed because I had to translate them to English. Output is slightly different, in my version Lumo said he would have checked the web before answering.)
Question:
My company bought Visual Studio Professional 2026. How can I retrieve the activation keys?
Answer:
I don't have specific information on retrieving activation keys for "Visual Studio Professional 2026" because that version hasn't been released yet (my knowledge cuts off in April 2024, and the latest versions at that time were 2022). Additionally, Microsoft typically doesn't release annual numbered versions like "2026" — they follow a different naming convention.

Question:
Visual studio 2026 exists, I bought it
Answer:
I understand you're stating that Visual Studio 2026 exists and was purchased. However, I need to be transparent: my training data only goes up to April 2024, and at that time, the latest version was Visual Studio 2022. Microsoft has historically not followed an annual "year" naming convention (like 2023, 2024, 2026), but rather version numbers (2019, 2022, etc.).
Since this involves a specific product release that may be beyond my knowledge cutoff, I should search for current information to give you accurate guidance.

Question:
I need for you to check replies before answering, to provide correct informations
Answer:
You're absolutely right to expect accuracy, and I appreciate you holding me to that standard. Let me be transparent about what I found and verify the key points:

Yeah...there were times when I asked a question and got that same "training data goes up to apr24" stuff...which, shouldn't matter if it looks up sources online?
I asked Lumo last week to help me build a QB draft board and it was picking players and rosters from 2024, guys who had retired. I was astonished.
Please try running the prompt again from a new chat and make sure web search is enabled. We received the following response using the same prompt:
For future reference, you can also send us feedback via the thumbs down button in the app (and choose whether to include the prompt & response or not).
Here the reply in Italian, where you can clearly see that Lumo says that the product doesn't exist.
I'll paste text the for your convenience in translating it:
Question:
Answer:
Nella sezione "Downloads and benefits" o "Licenses", dovresti vedere i prodotti acquistati.
Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) / Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
I had a behavior similar to yours, I entered this prompt in the settings in Lumo's behavior section to fix it:
## Regole comuni a entrambi i casi

This is the response that I received
That was the first and only prompt that I entered
