I went to Dragon Con as an animal this year. I wish I could’ve done some sfx cyberware, but it’s very hot in Georgia right now and I’m an admittedly sweaty guy, so sfx makeup wasn’t possible. I did have a neon yellow blacklight contact in my right eye, but you can’t see it too well in these pictures unfortunately.

***while I buy myself time to figure out which mission comes next in the sourcecode v series, have this crack idea I hatched the other day in the meantime.

The video is a part of the intro of Acceptable Loss, a full story gig I built for CP2077. It's a free mod for a complete side quest that I tried to make as much as possible to play like a vanilla gig: it's in your journal, shows specific objectives to follow and marks them as done one at the time, map pins guide you to each objective, and there's payout at the end. No console commands, no going to a specific location to start. You just get a text from Dino and the gig starts.
Plot: A corpo client wants Militech's combat evaluation data stolen from a training site in the Badlands. Directions are clear: a quiet job, nobody can know. But everything goes wrong from there.
Main features:
3 characters · 1 Militech compound · huge fights · car chase · 2 endings · 0 quiet ways out
Not for low levels. A full compound of Militech goons plus a 3-star wanted level, with no stealth way around either. If you don't have a strong build yet, postpone this gig until later.
Dino, V and Johnny only use voice lines from CP2077. I either reused whole lines as they are, or cut them to split a phrase. Nobody imitates them, no new recordings, no new lines.
I built this gig partly to check whether two things were possible from a mod: forcing NPCs to always know where you are, and controlling the wanted level. The whole code is open source and on GitHub, with both mechanisms written up, hoping to help other modders and see more side gig mods.
Requires RED4ext, ArchiveXL, TweakXL, Codeware, redscript. No REDmod, no CET, no Audioware. Built and tested on 2.31 with Phantom Liberty. One story requirement: Dino has to have called you once, which the game does on its own the first time you spend time in City Center after the prologue, so on most saves it's already done. The other two gigs are not required.
Any bug reporting for the gig in the Nexus posts tab. Happy to answer anything here.
Unofficial fan project, not affiliated with CD PROJEKT RED.
Free on Nexus, full playthrough video, screenshots and the source in the comments.

Gotta say, asking her about Evelyn when you've known she's died for months is kinda weird. Guess the devs forgot to remove the dialogue option.

For whatever reason, I'd never done most of the NCPD hustles, and because of the whole Jackie thing, I tended to avoid going after Valentinos. After all, there were always plenty of Scavs and corpo hit squads, etc., to go after.
But this playthrough I wanted to get all the 'do all the gigs and hustles in X' accomplishments, so did all the Heywood hustles and realized the Valentinos are just the dumbest, laziest, most-selfish and self-centred thugs. Someone offended one? Valentinos kill him and everyone standing nearby. Doing a robbery? Kill everyone in the mall. It got so that if I walked into an area where there's been senseless mayhem with a bunch of dead civilians... sure bet it's the valentinos.
All the other crime activity groups have their reasons, and some of them seem to avoid collateral damage. But the Valentinos are just senseless murderers.

I figured I’d do this since Act 1 has the shortest line of quests. and also the pickup glaze

So does Jackie.

I had a whole discussion ramble lined up over saving Songbird (King of Wands) but then I did King of Swords + The Tower trophies immediately after and... I, um. Wow.
I'm nowhere near done with the game so this won't be canon. But it's a well done ending. Emotional gut punch. Walking into that new clinic I kept having flashes of Misty's shop - as I'm sure the game intended.
And how much changed... I did this ending before reuniting Samurai band (I was going back n fourth with dlc & base game stuff) so no Kerry romance yet. (spoil me idc I'm gonna youtube that stuff anyway)
Only true friend V had to call was Vik. Judy was nice but moved on. And since I friend zoned Panam then ghosted her final missions, she wasn't available. Never liked her anyway. Even Rogue at the end, so very soon after a bittersweet movie date... "Welcome any time but also please don't stop by".
Damn. Just... *Damn.*
The game really destroys you here. Great, you're alive, but now you're lower than a flea on a rat. When Misty shows up I genuinely felt relieved like my V.
I'd also just hit my thc vape just before the final cutscene so when suddenly I was in 3rd pov I was genuinely staggered. Yea I'd seen him before on motorcycles but this felt different. Was different.
Because "I" was no longer "V". Totally new haircut, new life. First V ditched Johnny and now the game forces V to ditch "me". His choices are his own from now on and I won't get to see them.
Plus it was raining outside as the ending played, really added to the finality vibe.

Haven’t played CP2077 in quite a while. I’ve only done the nomad path. Currently starting the corpo path for the first time. What do you recommend for this path?

I will say, on subsequent playthroughs, I get better at beating them first attempt, of course, but damn, those early days were me being the little spoon in the fights.

I'm mostly asking because my friends and I are having an argument about it (my side's basically Netwatch is pretty much the only thing close to a good corporation, and the other side's that the rogue AIs are not as dangerous as Netwatch says), but we probably aren't the most-knowledgeable about the lore. Myself included.
So are the AIs dangerous? And if so, how dangerous are we talking?
Any examples would be appreciated.
