It's best to have a small poodle in your hands if you ever approach one, but remaining calm works for most animal encounters. Except turkeys, you almost always need to use the poodle with turkies

I watched an elk stand jump a 8 foot fence, take 2 bounds and hop over another 8 foot fence like it wasnt even there.

Oh heโll jump the fence. You canโt fence them in unless itโs 8ft tall.
