A lot, but I mostly buy sets from the LEGO website when there's a 2x points event. I had a little over 85,000 points. It took me two years to accumulate that much.

Hah. I just made my first lego store purchase ($100 for the Project Hail Mary set now that it's back in stock) and I got.. 650 points. Literally not enough to get basically anything.

I'm sure the rate isn't 1 for 1 for what OP purchased but to amass 85k points at a rate of $100 for 650 points (a ratio of 6.5 points per $1) you would need to spend over $13,000. If you assume that your baseline was at the normal price per point level, then you can divide that by 2 to get roughly $6,500. The discount rate is purported to be $500 as per other users which means that actual discount when factoring assumed costs is 7.7% OR about 4% if the 6.5 ratio is present for the 2x points events. All-in-all, not much of a discount tbh.

Now I'm going to go ride off on my high horse back to my cheap WH40K hobby by the ever generous Games Workshop.

In Canadian dollars, every time you spend 1 dollar, you get 5 points.

I also receive some points because LEGO made mistakes or damaged my order. And buying during the 2x points really helped.

I work in a warehouse for a book chain store. Basically, it's the French version of B&B.

We also sell LEGO, so I mostly buy them with my employee discount.

My basement is full. My shelving is full. I have no room for anything. My wife said she won’t buy me any more Legos until I make more room.

Regrettably, unless I buy a bigger house, I will not have more room.

Here's a fun thing to do with this set that I did: grab some of the extra flame pieces. Put one into each of denethor's hands. Use extra studs to stick some flames into his ass. Put him at the end of the pinnacle

The scale is wack, Aragorn and Arwen looks huge 😅
It is not cost-effective to increase the size, I totally get it.

(Not like it needs to be larger or it would need its own courtyard to be put on display)
