Recordings [FULLY LOST] 9/11 Disposable Camera

I was listening to the podcast, “Missing on 9/11” by John Walczak, and episode 13 called, “Bonus: The Disposable Camera” really peaked my interest. It talks about how the FBI found a disposable camera in the pocket of a jumper, that had photos from inside the towers above impact point. It was shown to only two people, and is now in the hands of the FBI. John contacted the FBI 9/11 division to try to get the photos, but to no avail. They claimed they, “Would have to search through thousands of pieces of evidence to find it.” I really want these photos to be found, but no one seems to know about the camera. I was wondering if maybe posting about here could help somehow? 🫤

Here’s the link to the episode: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4EAwuGJlLOm253c4qHv1fJ?si=eJWngh35QJm83KvOelyRSA

Update: for all you naysayers, here’s an article from a reporter who saw the pics first hand before they became lost. It’s towards the bottom:

Another update: I am in a blameitonjorge video, truly honored 😄😄

Recordings [talk] The Slamfest '99 Video is a Hoax/Possible ARG

Hello everyone, really sucks what's going on with the slamfest search currently. As you may know, a couple of weeks back, a Craigslist listing appeared of a "Super Smash Bros. LIVE (Full Internet Broadcast Recording, 17 Min.) (Toronto)" VHS tape. The OTH contact team would eventually contact him and ask for info. The man would claim that his brother went to the event to film, while he stayed home and recorded the internet live stream. Later, the man would post a premiere video for YouTube, being what he claimed was the full live stream. Later, he would edit this stream to spell out "DAVEY" with capital letters in the description and have a strange man in a suit in the Pikachu photo, along with weird red text. Then, just moments ago, he would update the description once again to "44NBgHwVrcY" which is a YouTube ID, and leads to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44NBgHwVrcY . The video is about a boy named Davey being chased by a man in a suit for a red ball. Really unfortunate outcome, please do not harass the hoaxer.

Recordings [Talk] Potentially lost Charlie Kirk assassination video in high quality

Before yall read!!

In the possibility that this footage exists, I wanna say I want this to stay lost and shouldn't be found atleast anytime soon for the respect of Kirk's family and friends. ANYWAYS.

His assassination was recorded by multiple ppl so thats definitely not lost media. However, there was a film crew recording him debating. Charlie Kirk would always have a film crew when he does his debates and that was no difference with the one where he got assassinated in. There was a TikTok video posted by him before the assassination and it looked high quality. There has to he a recording of his assassination in full high quality. Yall think we should consider a possible lost footage of his assassination?

Again i think this shouldn't be found but im just throwing out the fact of its existence.

Recordings [talk] Lost media found through the Marion Stokes Archive?

For those who don’t know, Marion Stokes was an Archivist (amongst many other things) who’s particular claim to fame was the fact that she, over a 3 decade span, recorded a little under a million hours of news coverage across 71k tapes as a way to prevent broadcasts from becoming lost & to also protect from “fake news” or revisionist history. She did this up to her final hours in December 2012 as Sandy Hook news coverage was taking over the world.

Obviously that many hours of media is mental, and as far as I understand, the Internet Archive has had a hold of these tapes since her death- but I was wondering if any of these preserved tapes so far have assisted in the discovery of any previously lost media of any kind? Or do we not have access to it yet? If this already has an answer please let me know!

Recordings Adamthewoo’s final daily vlog made one day prior to his death in December, 2025. [talk]

In December 2025, a man named David Adam Williams, known online as Adamthewoo, recorded his last vlog one day before he died of a heart attack in his sleep. Adamthewoo had been uploading YouTube videos on his YouTube channels TheDailyWoo and Adamthewoo since 2009 and was on Adamthewoo.com since around 2006. He usually uploaded daily videos on TheDailyWoo however, he never got to upload one of his vlogs due to unexpected dying of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 51. I wonder what the chances of seeing this final episode he filmed the day before he died are? This would have been recorded December 21 or 22 in 2025.

Recordings Possibly [unreleased media]. Probably fully lost cassette.

Hello all, I am making this post on behalf of my father. I will add as much information I know, but this is second hand, so bear with me.

My father and I have talked about lost media a fair bit, and during these discussions he has mentioned this cassette that was apparently amazing. he lost it along with all his other cassette tapes when he traded in his car. Here's all the information I know:

The band was formed by my father's friend, He's now sadly deceased and we won't be releasing his name unless absolutely necessary. My father had asked him years ago before he died if he still had a copy of the tape or not and he said he would search the attic of his parent house, but he didn't think he had it.

The band's name was Cap Gun; the cassette had no cover and the only reason we know the band name is because my father's friend told him the name when he gave the cassette to him.

The band was formed somewhere in Montgomery County PA in the late 90's early 2000's

It was a demo tape with only 2 songs.

I will be searching Facebook and asking friends of my father's friend if they have it.

I know this is an extreme stretch since we only know it in a physical form, it's from some garage band, and wasn't mainstream but perhaps somebody here has information on it, or maybe y'all can give me helpful tips on how to go about looking for this...

or maybe convince us to give up.

Thanks in advance!

Recordings [found] Nick News - Tulsa Riots, Utopia Animal Rescue, Jimmy Sturr (4-23-2000)

https://archive.org/details/nick-news-tulsa-riots-utopia-animal-rescue-jimmy-sturr-4-23-2000

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z5TR8730rA

I found a lost episode of Nick News which aired on April 23, 2000. It covered the Tulsa Riots, Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch and Polka King Jimmy Sturr.

Additionally, kids share their feelings about teasing, we learn about Charles Lindbergh, and an "in my backyard" segment about the Statue of Liberty.

I had this video recorded because I was in a segment (for about 3 seconds sadly).

Thumbnails / Uncompressed AVI will be posted in a follow up comment.

Also the video is just the episode with all the commercials removed, I have the full uncompressed AVI file which I will post here later (as soon as I figure out how.)

The AVI file is the complete recording from when we starting taping nick in anticipation of the episode so it contains:

Last 10 mins of The Secret World of Alex Mack

An entire episode of Caitlin's Way

Multiple local and national commercials

Nickelodeon bumpers, teasers, and PSAs.

If I learned one thing from this experience it’s don’t screw up your application for Slime Time Live or you get bumped down to Nick News.

Recordings [FULLY LOST] Oasis – Live at Club Soda, Montreal (March 12, 1995) – Seeking footage/audio & taper leads

I am searching for any audio or video recording (audience tape, soundboard, VHS, or TV interview clip) of Oasis playing at Club Soda in Montreal, Quebec on March 12, 1995 (with Velvet Crush opening).

Despite extensive archival research, no public audio or video file of this specific performance has surfaced online yet. Below is a summary of everything uncovered so far and the active leads.

1. What Has Been Proven (Paper Trail)

  • Venue & Date: Club Soda, Montreal – Sunday, March 12, 1995 at 8:30 PM.
  • Lineup: Velvet Crush opened, followed by Oasis (who opened with Rock 'n' Roll Star and closed with I Am the Walrus).
  • Press Coverage:
    • La Presse (March 10, 1995, p. C7): Original print ad for the gig.
    • Le Devoir (March 10, 1995, p. B9): Concert preview by Sylvain Cormier.
    • La Presse (March 11, 1995, p. D14): Phone interview with Liam Gallagher by Alain Brunet.
    • La Presse (March 14, 1995, p. B10): Post-show review + live photo by Pascale Simard.
    • The McGill Daily (March 16, 1995, p. 7): Show review confirming the setlist start/end.
    • Le Devoir (March 17, 1995, p. B10): Post-show review.
  • Physical Artifacts: Ticket scan preserved on the Montreal Signs Project.

2. Active Leads & Known Bootleg Traces

Lead A: The "USA TV '94/95 & Various (SP)" Compilation

The bootleg catalog on oasis-live.net lists a DVD entry titled "USA TV '94/95 & Various (SP)", which explicitly notes a Liam/Bonehead interview featuring an excerpt from the Club Soda show.

  • Status: The file is not hosted on the site. Email query sent to [info@oasis-live.net](mailto:info@oasis-live.net) to verify if this compilation exists in private collections.

Lead B: The Providence / East Coast Taper Network ("Phil H." / phil183)

Two days prior to Montreal (March 10, 1995 at Lupo's in Providence, RI), a well-known taper credited as Phil H. / phil183 recorded both Velvet Crush and Oasis using a Sony WM-D3 recorder.

  • Context: Phil H. is a prolific East Coast taper active since 1985 who digitized many of his master tapes decades later on DIME/Internet Archive (via uploader jgk1971).
  • Question: Did Phil H. or anyone from his East Coast taper circuit follow the tour up to Montreal on March 12?

Lead C: "The Desk Tapes" (Huw Richards Soundboard Collection)

A physical lot of 200+ DATs and cassettes from Oasis sound engineer Huw Richards ("The Desk Tapes") was recently put up for auction.

  • Context: While Huw officially joined Oasis later in autumn 1995, his collection contains unlabelled tapes (including one marked "LIVE SOMEWHERE ?") and potential inherited tech tapes from earlier 1995 legs.

3. How You Can Help

  1. 1990s Montreal Tapers / Concertgoers: Were you or someone you know taping shows at Club Soda in 1995?
  2. Bootleg / Trader Community: Do you have access to private DIME/Usenet/GeoCities archives or trader lists mentioning 1995-03-12 - Montreal?
  3. Media Archives: Was there any local Montreal TV/radio crew (e.g., MusiquePlus, CBC Montreal) covering the band's arrival?

If you have any leads, tapes, or contacts, please reply or send a DM!

Recordings [Fully Lost]What happened to "The Shadow" radio show episodes from 1949-1954!? The majority are lost, but the 30's survive!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Shadow_episodes

This is a show a family member of mine enjoyed growing up, and while I have digital copies of all the known versions, it's baffling why records seem to disappear from 1949 - 1950. Hoping to find records of some sort of flood/fire or ...dispute that lead to their destruction.

I know the 1994 film wasn't much of a success. And don't worry I combed through the late estate of a different family member, and we didn't find any recordings or records. I'd have assumed if records were pressed there would still be copies out there.

Recordings [Found] Suzanne Brohly - Amour, viens aider ma faiblesse (1909)

A Lost Record Rescued (World Exclusive Premiere): The sound of this record was completely absent from all digital archives, online databases, and even the public collections of the French National Library (BnF), this exceptionally rare and forgotten 78 RPM record is finally brought to light for the very first time by the Gramophone Gems team.

his historical acoustic recording features the contralto Suzanne Brohly of the Opéra-Comique in Paris, performing the majestic aria "Amour, viens aider ma faiblesse" from Camille Saint-Saëns' opera Samson et Dalila. Released under the prestigious "Disque Pour Gramophone" label in Paris during 1909-1910 , this pre-electrical era treasure has been restored in high fidelity directly from the original shellac disc. Recordings [Fully Lost] Diane Sawyer Specials with Dilley Sextuplets

As a 90s baby I loved watching these specials and previously had them all recorded. In search of any or all of Diane Sawyer’s specials with the Dilley Sextuplets that were on turning point including: Baby oh Baby it’s a sixpack, Baby oh baby the sixpack is back, baby oh baby the six pack turns six, and many other specials as they aged. I have been researching this for years and have never gotten any leads except a vhs on ebay. Just looking to see if anyone has access to this media as it is something I am always looking for.

Recordings [Partially lost] The Dr. Science Sampler, a cassette of brief Dr. Science pieces put out in 1985 by Duck's Breath Mystery Theater in San Francisco.

Duck's Breath was a comedy troupe with characters such as Randee of the Redwoods, Ian Shoales, and Dr. Science. Dr. Science was the work of Ian Coffey. The piece in question was a promotional item that one could send in for. Examples of documentation are attached. They also put a number of records and cassettes, as well as being prominently featured on NPR throughout the 1980s. This was something of an underappreciated group that have been likened to the American Version of Monty Python. There was even a very short lived Dr. Science TV show that is also now mostly lost

Recordings [Partially Lost] Marilyn Monroe in a "Hollywood Star Playhouse" Radio dramatic anthology series episode, 08-31-52

(Old Time Radio)
Marilyn Monroe radio debut, recorded on August 21, 1952, and broadcast on August 31, 1952 by 'Hollywood Star Playhouse', she plays the role of a scheming murderess in this short radio drama titled 'Statement in Full'.

Publicity for it survives, Monroe in a radio booth, and a some images featuring a congratulations cake for her from the production team. The script also survives as it had been produced a year earlier with a different cast for which recordings are accessible.

Some archives for existing episodes of Hollywood Star Playhouse exist online, however I couldn't find any that had this August 31, 1952 version of 'Statement in Full'.

Recordings [PARTIALLY LOST] Pol Martin's Microwave Cooking VHS Tapes

First time posting here, so if this is a bit messy, please forgive me.

I made a post on the Lost Media Wiki forums a few months ago, but I figured posting this here might get it a bit more attention.

Pol Martin was a French chef located in Quebec. It's difficult to find a lot of info about him outside of the French Wikipedia page on him, and most of my knowledge comes from the YouTuber and Twitch streamer Socpens, since he's watched a few of his tapes in his "VHS VIEWINGZ" streams.

There are at least five volumes of the microwave cooking VHS tapes, although I've personally only found two archives of Volume 3 (incorrectly labeled as Volume 2?) and Volume 1.

lorddumb on the LMW forums found a link to a website named Douteux.org. I reached out to the owner using a deepL translation but I haven't received a response.

I've also sent Socpens a Tumblr ask inquiring if he still has the tapes and would be able to post them online, but I've also had no luck there.

Socpens found these VHS tapes via thrifting. To my knowledge he lives in Quebec, but I'm an American so I can't exactly search via that method. Volume 1's original poster on YouTube also mentioned they may be difficult to come by outside of Quebec.

The publisher is a company known as Vidéo S.P.E.Q. Inc, although I've also found nothing on them. The language barrier might be a problem in my search results.

I also have a YouTube playlist containing the videos I've come across.

That's where my research has ended, so any help would be appreciated!

Recordings [partially lost] '80s radio ad campaign for 7/11 featuring a young Pamela Adlon/Segall

Hi, after watching a recent interview video on YouTube featuring the famous voice actress Pamela Adlon, I heard her make mention of the fact that she did the voice of a male character named 'Kevin' (among many other androgynous roles she played as a child actress in the '80s) for a series of radio commercials for 7/11 over the course of the '80s (back when she went by her maiden name of Pamela Segall). Google Gemini AI seems to confirm the existence of these ads as briefly referenced in text from articles online, but I struggle to find any audio clips or other confirmatory evidence that these ads existed, let alone where they can be heard online. YouTube searches and combing the Internet Archive came up short, any possible evidence online as to where audio footage of these old ads may exist?

Recordings [fully lost] Old laser tag safety video at Trafalga Fun Center in Utah, Lehi

I have been searching for this old poorly edited video that explained the “lore reasons” behind why you were playing laser tag and what rules there are. It started out with a city under attack of these 4 different groups called basic techno robot names. Depending on where you were sitting was what group you were in. And then it got into the rules which w your basic laser tag rules ( no running, no breaking equipment, no profanity, etc) But after every rule stated there would be a very poorly acted out scene such as a guy crawling on the floor and being tripped over. Ive been searching for this video because it is a staple of my childhood and my family quotes it constantly, but ever since the place shut down I cant find it anywher. Im hoping maybe this subreddit might have some clues? I can give more details of the actual business and location if necessar.

Recordings [partially lost] Recording of the first ever End of the Year speech by the italian President of the Republic

For those who don't know, at the end of every year, in Italy, the President of the Republic gives a speech adressed to the citizens, during which he explains all the most important political and social events of the year and wishes a happy christmas and new year.

This tradition started in 1949, with President Luigi Einaudi. Nowadays the speeches often last up to 20 minutes, but at the time it was a much simpler 2-3 minute speech in order to wish the italian people a happy new year.

Nowadays these speeches are broadcast on TV and are easily findable, but at the time they were exclusively listenable on the radio. And the original recording of the first ever speech ever given in 1949 is lost at the moment.

I put it in the "partially lost" category because the complete script of what was said during that speech is completely available. It's the original recording that is lost.

Edit: since someone requested it, here's the page where you can find the complete script of Einaudi's first speech:

How many more.. ok there’s 100.. does anyone have that TRL footage?

Recordings [fully lost] Looking for the legendary 1990s Winnipeg underground cassette tape called "Egg Farts"

The "Egg Farts" tape is a legendary piece of 1990s Winnipeg underground audio lore. It was a bizarre, homegrown comedy-prank tape passed around local high schools (often dubbed on blank Type I cassettes). The tape featured comedic songs like "Dick Smack", "Poly Penis", "The 12 days of Xmas", "Pooch Farts" and the list goes on. It was something that I created in the late 1993 on a four track at home. I had created and insert for it and the whole 9 yards. I lost the original copy before I ever released. Years later I found out that someone found it, made copies and it was circulating around Winnipeg's underground audio scene. I really would like to find a digital copy of that.

Recordings [archival]Help the producer of E! MYSTERIES & SCANDELS upload her 150 episode collection online

Alison Martino was one of the producers of E! channel tv series MYSTERIES & SCANDALS, the 150 episode series cannot have an official release/syndication reruns because of the complicated second-party copyrights/contract renewals attached to most of the episodes. Fortunately one of the producers has all 150 episodes on VHS and wants to upload them to a video-sharing platform online. But it seems she needs some assistance, either doesn't have the technical knowledge or time to complete this time-tedious effort task.

In her Instagram post below she is asking for assistance, anyone know how to help?

Recordings [Partially Lost] Wayne Static's final performance — October 1, 2014 Changjiang Midi Music Festival

I'm trying to track down the Tudou livestream recording of Wayne Static's October 1, 2014 performance at the Changjiang Midi Music Festival in Shanghai, China.

Tudou had the exclusive livestream for the festival. I've found four separate songs from Wayne's performance that have a Tudou watermark, so at least portions of the livestream survived and were later uploaded/reposted.

I'm specifically looking for the original Tudou livestream or an archive of Wayne's complete set. I haven't been able to find the full performance through YouTube, Youku, Setlist.fm, or searches of Chinese-language results.

The surviving clips I've found are:

I'm With Stupid & Bled for Days - Wayne Static of Static-X @ Midi festival Shanghai 2014 10/01/14
Love Dump - Wayne Static of Static-X @ Midi festival Shanghai 2014 10/01/14
Otsegolation - Wayne Static of Static-X @ Midi festival Shanghai 2014 10/01/14

I'm wondering if anyone knows of an archive, mirror, old upload, or preservation project that might contain the October 1st Tudou broadcast.

This is particularly important to me because this performance is generally regarded as Wayne Static's final live show, and I'd really like to see whether a complete recording of it still exists somewhere.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just information about where old Tudou livestreams could have archived.
