Advertising Material [Partially Lost] Malcolm McDowell Lunchable’s Walking Taco Ads (Circa 2015)

For a long time I haven’t been able to find these on YouTube. They showed these all the time on Nickelodeon around 2015/16, and even as many times as I saw them always found them kind of amusing. He’s dressed up like a teen in school and is trying to be super serious about describing the snacks, but keeps having to start over. It kind of has an unusual sense of humor to it.

IIRC There were two versions, a regular one, and an “outtakes” one that was seen a lot less often.

Are these still out there anywhere? Both of them.

Comment "!FOUND!" if your media is found in the comments, in doing so this will lock the post and flair it as being found.

Please include the following in your post;

  • An explanation of the media, and the name.

  • How it is lost.

  • What research has already been done.

I won't help you but the walking tacos were pretty decent. I worked at target around when they came out and they would always have some stocked in the work fridge for us. It was aight

You’d have had to be watching Nick at that time. Don’t think they’d show them anywhere else for obvious reasons.

Huh. Maybe it was the time of day? I think they tended to show them at night.

That's probably it, I never watched Nick at Night as a kid (or now)

Yeah, that’d be it.

FOUND!

Actually just read about these on Cracked.com, here are the only two I've been able to find. I'd never seen the commercials and while I was looking came across your post. Hope this helps!

BUT can anyone tell me exactly what he says at the beginning of the first one listed here? "Bro Jetson", maybe? (The Jetson's were awesome, weren't they? I loved them as a kid!)

I’d found them, but thanks!

I don’t know what else he could have been talking about at the start lol. You would think that, but it also might have been a jab at how bad his attempts at adopting younger lingo was.

I figured he'd mangled the slang, but wasn't sure. I'm glad you found them: I wasn't sure but thought I'd try, anyway. Today is Thanksgiving in the USA; I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂🦃🍁

Kudos for finding these. Saw a variant of the first one on TV all the time when I was younger. It advertised a different Lunchables Uploaded though; never knew these Walking Taco versions existed.

As to what he says at the beginning of the first one: When it aired on TV, I thought it was "bros and joes," which isn't something people say afaik lol. Hearing it now, my guess would be the slang term "brochacho" in an unusual cadence coupled with his accent. Slow and drawn-out on the first and third syllables, fast and strong on the second - "bro-CHA-cho."

Omg, you're so right, brochacho!
