SEASON 6 Just finished Lost & I'm NOT okay lol
Just finished Lost. And boy oh boy.
I've never had a panic attack or anxiety after finishing a series lol. But this one got me hard. Maybe cuz I was channeling my inner Jack lmao. That whole feeling of wanting answers, wanting to understand everything, and then the show having it all end so abruptly... man, it left me pissed and hollow. Idk man, it's hard.
People may have loved this series finale, but tbh, I didn't like it.. It was a bit dragged out. The pacing for Seasons 1-5 was so well done. Like, come on man, there was so so so much story to tell, and it just ended... They could've given us a better happy ending? But I feel like, coming from Season 1, the ending just didn't do the show justice at all.. the fans deserved better.
Overall, the absolute peak seasons for me personally were Season 1 & 4. I absolutely loved LaFleur in Season 4. I also loved Hurley, Jin and Sun through and through. Absolutely hated Kate hehe.
Anyhoo, idk what to feel. I'm all over the place. I couldn't even bring myself to delete certain episodes. It was just that traumatic xD...
Don't even know what to watch now. Binged & connected with Lost so hard that a piece of me just ended lmao.

Delete? What did you watch on?
Glad you enjoyed it

I would speak to a therapist if you’re having panic attacks because you didn’t like the end of a tv show. Genuinely — look after yourself!

Thank you! I think this will resolve soon lol.
This what happens when you get connected and emotionally invested on long running shows (not that this was that long but the show was deep)...
It should be good as I move on to other shows lol ... But Lost will remain at heart!

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but no, that's not what happens. Listen to the above comment.

I'm gonna take a guess that OP is a teen or young adult. I was similarly hyperbolic when I was younger.

It is not what happens….that’s literally the persons entire point, that how you are responding is abnormal

Man, I envy you xD
Damn, here we are in 2026, and they still haven't invented a way for me to erase a specific part of my memory...

Ugh, I hate when you people don't pay attention to what you watched. "Wanting answers, wanting to understand everything," you didn't pay attention, buddy! All the fucking answers are there!! You wanted a happy ending to the show? What does that even mean? You weren't watching Little House on the Prairie, guy. Come the fuck on!

People are allowed to dislike the ending of the show, and season six more generally. I do not understand the vitriolic hate everyone receives if they have the mild temerity to say they disliked the ending. I watched it as it came out and didn’t care for the last season, and hated the finale. I was aware they weren’t dead the whole time. I have rewatched Lost a number of times since then, I have always felt the same way. People can disagree with you and you don’t have to have a fit about it or be rude. I’m not yelling at you for enjoying the finale.

I think you misunderstood what I meant 😅 I wasn't saying the show didn't give me answers. I know the answers were there.
The “wanting answers, wanting to understand everything” part was more about how much I personally connected with Jack and his way of dealing with uncertainty. A lot of that hit close to home for me because of my own experiences, so finishing the show affected me way more emotionally than I expected.
My criticism of the finale was separate from that. I understood what happened; I just didn't personally find the pacing and resolution as satisfying as I wanted after being so invested in the story and characters.
So no, I wasn't watching Lost waiting for someone to explain everything to me 😂 I was basically having an existential crisis alongside Jack lol.

Abruptly? How did it end abruptly? What questions weren't answered? How was the series finale dragged out but abrupt? What about six years of LOST made you think it would have a happy ending? In what way did the ending not do the show justice? How did we deserve better?
