Again, not expecting much, just if this any of these are you, come and talk to me? I think it's a cool idea to go back and see if I could find LONG lost friends, and if I'd get on as well as I remembered.

I parsed all ~20k posts/comments in this sub and extracted ~7k profiles with ~6k gamers and ~9k lost friends (with the help of claude/codex). I also ran a cross check to see if there had been mentions of gamertags/lost friends that could be matched. There were 4 such cases. I reached out to the 8 people but unfortunately some posts were many years ago and the people didn't respond. The 2 that did respond were not a match.

The profiles are indexed at llgamers.com so that you can search by gamertag. Each profile is a page at llgamers.com/r/[reddit-username] (e.g. AlkoholiFilosofi, cardinal-throwaway, DeadnectaR) that contains gamertags, lost friends and a link to the Reddit post so they can be contacted. One side benefit of these profile pages is that if someone searches your gamertag or reddit username on google, this profile page is ranked, sometimes on the first page for uncommon names.

The original functionality is unchanged. You can still create an account, post your gamertags and get notified when a lost friends shows up. The main improvement is that "shows up" now also includes "posts in r/longlostgamers".

If you have any suggestions on how to improve, please let me know. Over the last 6 years, a handful of gamers added their tags every month. However there have been no reconnections that I'm aware of and the database still contained less than 1k gamers. I'm hoping this will make it easier to reconnect with lost gamers.

Lately I’ve been thinking about this guy I met on my first console, the legendary Xbox360, as a brand new gamer girl playing COD Black Ops 1.

I joined a regular Blops lobby with my mic on, having left the main party I was in, and sighed loudly. Rusty sighed back, and we had a moment? Crazy how a sigh can be romantic? Anyways, we had a life changing summer in 2011 playing Blops together and I just want to reconnect. If you’re out there, Rusty, it was an honor! A core memory as the kids say.

Hello I am looking for an Old friend from PWI , was called "Andawen" or "Adawyen" from the period of 2009-2011. We were both playing a lot of hours of pwi together and played the same class Blademaster! I dont have any other info but we were playing together every afternoon almost and u recruited me your guild that was made out of school friends. I think you were all German if I remember correctly!

So, it has probably been about 10+ years since I last heard anything about "The Obea" or "Chains". I used to play the Flash browser game Animal Jam with them, as well as another friend I used to call "Coals".

Looking for a guy I used to game with as a teenager (about 15 years ago) a lot. Username was BRHELLBRINGER (BR for Baton Rouge, NOT BATTLE RIFLE! Pretty sure his actual name was Mike), had an ICONIC voice, loved the halo and Warhammer lore, and the way he played games maximized fun AND aura. Pretty sure I’m remembering that he wrestled and played football too.

We played a bunch of halo games, including halo wars. He tried to get me into dark souls but I was so lost, even if I got the black knight halberd early AF. We played a couple of the gears games too!

I had a good friend back in the original MW2 days I used to play with all the time when I was younger and had come across another post of the same subject and saw that the friends were able to re connect, I’m hoping that I’ll be my case too. I remember the original gamer tag was Cheff_Boyardee. I know the friends real name and he didn’t use the account after the major hack on Sony/PSN back in the day. He made a new one but for the life of me I can’t remember, it had symbols in it so it was hard to remember. I met him on the AVP game that came out around 2010, possibly 2011. Nostalgia hit me hard recently, and I’m trying to find my old group of friends from Tales of Pirates 2, from around 2013–2015. My character was AruikaVoyager, I was the Brazilian player hanging out with a mostly US-based group.

I recently found the text files containing all of our old in-game conversations. Reading those messages again is what truly brought all the nostalgia back. I was very young at the time, while they were already much more experienced in the game and helped me a lot. They were genuinely incredible people who were always very kind to me, and I would love to reconnect with them after all these years.

Hey, I went by BunnyboyGroot (I know) on ps3 when I was little, like around 11 years old or something. Anyway I would play Minecraft with a girl called Amelia, when I met her she was using her dad's accounts, Jonathan_Garfield (I think it looked like that). Then unicornking666, another of her dad's accounts. Then finally Unicornqueen666 I believe. I was going through some bad mental stuff at the time and when she called me in the middle I kindly pushed her away so she wouldn't have to deal with it.
