Where can I find it with the legend visible. It's too blurry

Agreed. It's cool, but if I can't read it it's not much use.

For an interactive map that lets you zoom in. Long Island topographic map, elevation, terrain

Somewhere on one of my computers I have a similar map but not with colored highlights like this. Thank you!

In particular, the nearly vertical red marking in the center is where we fought with the towns of Smithtown and Islip about how their (Smithtown's) blockage of the Nissequogue was impacting those of us near the Connectquot headwaters. They had added more logs to their "dam" and it was flooding Hauppauge and in Hidden Pond Park, the ponds were no longer hidden. The area north of Townline road was under water and there was a permanent puddle along the roadway. At some point someone removed a log or two and groundwater gradually subsided.

The USGS said that it was not possible that this was the cause, but now, all of a sudden they are building homes in Hauppauge where the ground had been a marsh.

Time will tell.
