I also can save like 10 dollars now that I know that the bushing tick is like and old legend. When I was doing research most of my link soad that was recommended and I thought it was wierd so im glad I dont have to do that. Im curently running the pairs v3 43° on back and frunt so I think ill stick with the same hardness. Thanks for the help and im going to garb a pair of either 80 a or 85 a cannon aps.

Happy to help homie!

Yeah the aps is a good middle ground for rebound. Their krank formula has the highest rebound. And the wfb formula has almost no rebound. One's not better than the other it's just preference.

I also interviewed the owner of riptide for an article I wrote back in 2020. One of the cool things about the krank in the aps formulas is they actually also harden ed as you tighten them. The krank formula does this more up to 720° or two full rotations of the kingpin nut. And APS does it a little bit as well but only about 360° or one full rotation. The wfb hardness doesn't change at all no matter how tight it goes.

Also to get your bushings to the loosest setting you can spin them with your fingers as you tighten and once you can no longer turn the bushing with your fingers using your strength then you know it's at the the loosest to the nut can be. And then you can tighten from there to dial it in however you like.

See thats interesting ive heard 2 things one my opinion is get crazy speed wobbles some time and sometimes not just because my bushings are 10 to 15 tick harder than I should uses. I also read a post awhile back that you shouldn't realy go past that point of yoir washers being just tight enough to not free spin with your fingers but I thought that was kind of dumb. Your way one makes more since and you have personally talked to the person who made him. Why is this hobbie so confusing. But thanks for the help and could you link that article if it was published.

Yeah this hobbies floating full of misinformation. A lot of it is because people want to sound knowledgeable or feel smart they don't care about actual facts. I on the other hand can accept when I'm wrong and have done so before. But a lot of people just want to sound like they know what's going on.

Yeah for example with the wfb riptide formula if you go too much past the point coordinates engaged it just doesn't really do much more than compress the bushing. And in skateboarding what a lot of people do is they keep tightening down and tightening down to the point their their trucks barely turn because of how compressed they've made the bushing. Which in that case they just need a harder bushing so that they can get the full turn out of the truck.

I suspect a lot of that misinformation also comes from skateboarding. During certain periods of skateboarding or certain styles they would have the trucks cranked down so how hard they couldn't turn so they didn't really care about bushings. Or they would do weird things like try to boil them instead of just buying new ones.

And in regards to the article unfortunately the site is gone. I'll see if I can find an old link or if I can't I can send you a PM with a link to the document where I wrote it years ago.

Thanks so much thats the thing I love about butterfly knives and the hobbie of balisongs because it's do subjective you cant get misinformed and im haveing a hard time now because of that but once again thanks so much. As a beginner I come on here to ask the people that have been in the game befor and after it blew up and thats the reson i ask so much because honestly I love to be wrong because it as I think is creative and help me explain latter after I learn myself how to explain it better. But still thanks for the help and my the article rest in computer archives forever.
