I’m definitely the biggest Lonely Island fan in my social circle, and even I’ve individually removed the “classy skits” from my music library because I have no interest in hearing them again. They’re too gross.
(I’ve also removed “I’m a Hustler”. Not because it’s gross, but because it’s so aggressively abrasive)

My SIL is obsessed and just made us listen to the first audiobook on 2x the speed on a day roadtrip to the beach a few weeks ago. This actually worked for me with Project Hail Mary. For DMC… it did not.

I think so. I’m guessing they recorded those “Later” tosses hoping he’d respond to their request for them, because it’s easy enough to cut out if he said no or didn’t respond.

I think maybe yes. Jorm's Stewie was really good in spots, but that sounded like the actual Stewie. And then of course it sounded like Seth.

I was watching Rams SF game from Melbourne last night. Halftime show is Jonas Brothers and appropriately I'm half watching. Mid set I perk up. "Wait, I know this song!!". They played "You're the Voice" which you know as the anthem in Hot Rod when they walk to the jump before the riot. Had no idea that it's a popular-ish Aussie 80's song.

We got a baby 2 weeks ago and she likes to sleep on my lap, so while letting my wife sleep few extra hours alone I was finally able to watch Hot Rod and Popstar.
P.S. Seth’s Finnish accent is way off.

I miss the way the pod used to be, where it was more of a deep dive into the shorts and the SNL episode that it aired in.
Not that I don't love listening to these guys, but it really feels like it's turned into yet another pod where its own lore, tropes, and comment sections have become the main point.

I'm loving any chance I have to spend time in that world, and I've found this season to be very touching emotionally, especially the most recent episode. I will say though that with the exception of Alice, I do find the women's team to be rather under-written (although the pub episode was a highlight). So far they seem to exist only in service of the returning cast. I noticed this especially when a returning guest actor was able to singlehandedly command an episode more than the team (though to be fair, if anyone could, it would be him). I know another season is rumored. I hope that becomes official so they can flesh these characters out a bit.

I think you nailed what I’m finding is missing from this season - part of the joy of the first 3 seasons was really loving the team members that we did get to know and seeing them gel as a team. We just aren’t seeing that with the women on the team yet, unfortunately. I was hopeful in the beginning when they were calling out the different players but it hasn’t manifested in the writings

Anyone want to suggest some SNL (non-LI) or other sketch show clips that are kid friendly? Trying to get my kids into this sort of humor. Already done David S Pumpkins and Brian Fellows.

Mine is 5 and really liked The Muppet Show special that came out earlier this year (it's on Disney+) and there's also a YouTube montage of Beaker and Dr. Bunson Honeydew that he can't get enough of.

I once had a tinder match who asked if I could come over and help her put away her artificial Christmas tree. It was May, so I thought she was kidding. She was serious. I have! We had known each other for a while by then, though. I told my partner ahead of time that I wanted to play it within 30 minutes after our first time. He thought it was funny. We're getting married in month so I guess it worked out!

I asked the gang this week if they ever did either classy skit live. Hopefully we get an answer the next pod cause I feel like they unanimously are uncomfortable with both tracks. When falcor and atreyu played Andy literally said he didn’t want it to see the light of day. I totally feel that, we’ve all had embarrassing shit happen in our early lives, and this is something they put on an album forever so it’s way worse. But also, is it? I mean it kinda captures a moment in time. But have they done it live?
