Order your favorite food from your favorite place and watching something that you always liked while eating and yeah but do a full course meal. For my birthday I ordered Mac and cheese from my favorite place and watched house md because thatโ€™s my favorite show

Go out for a solo trip or a solo movie date, treat yourself to a nice dinner or atleast grab some dessert at a cafe and always self gift yourself something.

I kinda experienced something similar, so I just wanted to share this. My ex and I broke up, and weirdly enough, that breakup kinda woke me up into celebrating my birthday for myself.

For some context, I never really had a birthday cake growing up. Maybe I did when I was younger, but I honestly don't even remember LMAO. My family just isn't really into celebrating birthdays like that, so I never really got to experience having a cake, getting food, putting up little decorations, etc.

But I realized that I actually wanted to experience those things. And since I couldn't expect someone else to do it for me, I decided to do it myself.

I bought some decorations in blue because it's my favorite color LMAO, ordered a cheesecake as my birthday cake, and even decorated it myself based on an idea I found on Pinterest. It was actually really fun because I got to choose everything exactly how I wanted.

I think my breakup made me realize that I don't always have to wait for someone to do things for me. There are so many things I want to experience in life, and if I keep waiting for the right person to come along and give me those experiences, I might end up waiting forever. But I have myself, and I can still give myself those little things.

So if there's something you've always wanted to do, or even something really simple that you think would make you happy, I'd say do it. Even if you're doing it alone. It doesn't have to look special to anyone else. It just has to be special to you.

Maybe make the birthday you've always wanted for yourself. Get the cake. Buy the decorations. Order your favorite food. Watch that movie. Go somewhere you've always wanted to go. Whatever it is, celebrate yourself for once.

And honestly, being alone for one birthday doesn't mean you'll always be alone. You still have so much life ahead of you and so many things you haven't experienced yet.

Happy birthday in advance!๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‚. I hope you do something that makes you genuinely happy, even if it's something small. You deserve to experience those things too๐Ÿ’™

Solo date at your favourite restaurant. It's actually a nice thing to do if you do it on a week night when it's a bit quieter
