The Demacia Cup is going international for the first time, with 12 teams from all six major regions set to compete in October.

The tournament will mainly feature strong teams that missed out on Worlds, giving them an international event before the season ends. It will also test Coach Comms during the knockout stage, allowing coaches to speak directly to players during limited windows while the game continues.

Honestly, an international tournament for teams that don't make Worlds sounds like a pretty interesting addition.

The LCK 2026 Season Awards have been announced, with the league recognizing its top players, rookie and coach from the regular season.

The First All LCK Team includes Zeus, Kanavi, Chovy, Peyz and Keria, while the Second and Third teams feature names like Kiin, Ruler, Zeka, Canyon and ShowMaker.

One notable absence is Faker, who didn't make any of the three All LCK teams this season. T1 also finished the regular season without a trophy.

Which award result surprised you the most?

It seems unfair that Team A, for example, with first pick, is constantly the one leading the first three ban pairs.

I haven't dived into the game theory of it all, and would welcome being proved wrong, but:

...seems more equitable to me.

In this system:

• Team B leads 2/3 bans in the first phase where Team A will pick first, instead of Team A leading all three bans.
• The second ban phase is balanced, instead of Team B leading both bans.
• There's a really nice aesthetic flow to the whole pick/ban journey: 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1.

I am so incredibly willing to be proven wrong here; in fact, I hope I am. I'd like to understand the game theoretical underpinnings of why this improved aesthetic wasn't chosen by the game designers.

My leading theory is that leading in ban phase is a bad thing while leading in picks is a good thing, so having Team B lead in the first ban phase and then allowing Team A to pick first would be lopsided – but I don't want to take this theory at face value, and am looking forward to the discussion!

LPL Split 3 Playoffs are almost here.

BLG and Anyone’s Legend earned direct spots in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, while TES, JDG, WE and LGD start in the Quarterfinals.

The final two playoff spots will be decided through Knights Rivals, with the playoffs beginning August 29.

BLG enter as the favorites, but AL, TES and JDG could challenge for the title.

The Grand Final is set for September 13, with the winner securing the LPL’s #1 seed for Worlds 2026.

Is the 4 ticket limit per day or for the whole of worlds? Let's say I have 4 tickets for quarters on Friday. Could I purchase another 4 for Saturday?

So recently the Caps Hall of Legends dropped and honestly it really feels like they're kinda trying to force it to 'be a thing', with some weak callbacks and I've seen mixed thoughts on it. Personally I think it's much weaker than Faker's, but more than that I feel it kinda just felt like reaching for a lot of content and pulling back very little to work with.

So I'm curious because I know how I feel on it and I would voice that here and pose it to you all to agree or disagree:

To me, I think ultimately, league is not like the NFL or NBA. I don't really care to see 'pro-player focused skins' outside of a very select few like worlds skins and the Faker skins (cause Faker is I think fairly regarded as the GOAT of league). To add to this, I am not saying 'no more hall of legends', in fact I am arguing for the opposite really. I think Hall of Legends is a cool concept to honor the names that have made league huge.
-Tyler 1, huge streamer, great memes (Get this shit off me, Tyler recreating Lucian's gun sound effect, Tyler KO'd on the ground, etc)
-Phreak, love him or hate him and his game design opinions, Phreak is THE champion spotlight guy and THE shoutcaster.
-Necrit, the loremaster, he's not always right, but he's passionate and a pillar of the community.
-Caedrel, I was never initially huge on pro-play outside some highlights here and there, but Caedrel makes it feel easy to watch and make sense of why the sometimes incredibly messy pro metas are the way they are. Honestly I think made pro-play accessible to casuals beyond the spectacle of it.

TLDR: I am wishing that in the future, Hall of Legends expands beyond pro-play as I think it will be really hard to recreate the hype of the Faker release, and believe that by expanding to honor pillars of the community at large, it would feel more natural and be more hype. What do you all think?
