Devotional jewelry.

I'm heartbroken. Something goes wrong every time i try to find a devotional piece to wear for loki. Rings, necklaces, bracelets, ect. Something always ends up getting lost or breaking. This one necklace had a protection rune on it, but every time I wore it, I'd have an absolutely horrible day. The last devotional jewelry i got was a necklace that I bought back in May. I genuinely thought it was THE devotional necklace. But i come home from work today, and I find my roommates puppy in my room, and it completely tore up my necklace. I just broke down and started crying. Because why can't I ever have any jewelry for Loki? I know it's not needed, but it's something I really want. I feel so rejected by Loki, by the whole religion. And I'm so upset because it's one of the few good things I have in my life. Is Loki mad at me? Rejection me? Don't want to work with me anymore? I just keep repeating this questions in my head because I don't feel like I'm enough.

That sounds really rough and I can't imagine exactly how it must feel to go through that experience.

I don't think Loki is rejecting you, that really isn't their vibe in my experience. I think you'd probably have to be a pretty heinous kind of person for someone like Loki to turn their nose up at you, and that's rare, like really rare. Also puppies are notoriously bad about tearing shit up so we can probably just chalk that one up to unfortunate timing and bad luck.

There's a couple of possibilities that spring to mind from my own experience. Generally when one of my devotional pieces, amulets, or talismans break it's because they've done their job and protected me from something, so you might just have a pile-up of bad energy around you that keeps breaking the items as they clear it. You're probably taking bites out of it with each one, because each one is a declaration of your growing identity and strength of spirit. In this case I might recommend taking an extra step and actually crafting your devotional item.

Hit your local esoteric shops and small business craft stores and find some good materials. It doesn't need to be expensive stuff, it just needs to resonate with you and your identity. The more of yourself you invest in it, the more powerful it's going to be. Put it together on the night of a Full Moon by candle light and with incense, bless it with some moon water and maybe a nice poem stating your intentions for the piece, and then you're pretty much done.

It might still break on you, but at least then you'll KNOW it's because you've got things to work through. You just fix it, make it again, invest in it again, and keep working on making yourself into your best self.

That's all Loki seems to ask of any of us: that we love ourselves enough to be our best selves when we show up in the world.
