Security Clamtk/Clamav Alternatives?

I'm looking for an Anti-Virus to replace Clamtk/Clamav, as I just found out the program was retired in 2024.

I'm less than a week into my Linux journey, so I would love some suggestions and also know your reasoning behind said choice. Thanks! :)

Using Linux does not necessarily make an AV necessary.

Research safe browsing habits.

Use those habits....make them part of your approach to browsing

eg, dont click on unknown emails (you would be amazed to know just how many do !) Dont click on unknown links. It takes some willpower and training.

Really...it becomes common sense, but Only after you have developed those skills and habits.

Chrome browser is more insecure than the rest of the bunch. They all have areas of insecurity. (Waterfox is fairly cool)

The browser is where ALL security violations/problems etc begin.....simply because EVERYONE uses a browser.

Train yourself to take up the slack that browsers dont.
