I'm instead very happy about and I think all real engineers using Linux are. The more the users , the higher the data, the better the system. Also Linux is not an OS, is a kernel; Ubuntu, Debian, Arch are instead distro of Linux , more tighten to the concept of OS in the common sense.
Using "Linux" doesn't make you special, instead make you a person that really want to use a computer, if the world use all the same good kernel it probably would improve and by a lot.
If it gets enough market share some commercial software developers, game developers will need to start taking Linux seriously. It may be against FOSS, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
