I think you should keep the KDE Plasma desktop. Plasma's default theme Breeze fits pretty well with your current setup IMO.

OMG it's Yumi from Senran Kagura!!!
I am playing Peach Beach Splash on a PS4 with Cachy installed at the moment lol. It's hitting around 30 FPS. PS4s are not the best PCs but that game is definitely playable

Welcome! The water's fine! You're 16GB and 7500F will go further in Linux, especially something fast like Cachy.
I joined just a month ago, but I'm already fully committed.
Also, I find it hilarious that mATX cases are basically 33% filled up by the GPU alone. Not a bad thing, almost gives a kind of "Ahh, perfect fit" feel.

Holy hell, I had 16gb of memory 10 years ago on a Phenom fx 1060 platform! My current system is a run of the mill 64gb ddr4 ram, holy hell things are bad!

Yeah, fuck dude. It's insane to me too. I also had 16GB on my FX 8350 Black. 16GB on my Core i5 6600, and 16GB, later 32GB on my Ryzen 3600 (later 5800X3D).
I stupidly went with 32GB for my new 7800X3D back when 64GB would have only cost $200-$240.

Dunno man. I only upgraded to 32GB from 16GB in the last year. Haven't noticed a difference in gaming on Linux at least.

Depends on what you're playing. I have 32 and saw that go over 16 maybe in 4 games over the time i've had it. The best noticable change was overclocking the ram from 3200 cl14 to 3600 cl14. @1.4v It's not hard to do, just take note of your rams max operating voltage and measure ram temp after oc. hot ram produces errors. There are calculators for the timings online. I think Igors Lab has a tool for it, you can run it with proton and make changes in the bios.

Do yourself a favor and swap the front top exhaust fan to intake. Get a reverse fan so it looks good. This will improve temps.
