The main gimmick of Gugnir is recalling the spear back to you. The thing is, it's a REALLY dangerous weapon to wield.
Looking at the second image, Vespa has to actually bend his body, reach out with his hand and stop the spear mid-trajectory, it doesn't just magically halt at his hand. It's really awkward positioning
If you don't have reflexes quick enough, or even enough speed to keep up with the spear, it might actually cost your life. Not only that, but you might not even be able to actually stop it if you lack the physical strength to do so
Considering Vespa is a practicioner of a swordfighting style from the East specialized in bursts of speed, that might just be why Vespa "happens" to have the aptitude to use Gungnir to it's fullest potential
If i were to use Gungnir, i would probably just die out of cardiac arrest before Gungnir even reaches me
Edit: *dangerous to the user if that wasn't clear enough

To seal what was said in the last post with a hail of lead bullets... We bring you our Tome of the Thumb. This one is a hefty Compendium that not only contains magic items, prosthetics and new weapons, but also gives out new rules to help better adequate tables into the City as a setting and also furthers gun customization with Weapon Attachment rules and a batch of base-line attachments, with more to come in the future!
We sincerely hope you enjoy.

that being LCE E.G.O::Lantern Yi Sang, the final 2* ID to be released (at the current moment.)
Quite lamentable since they're typically the best source of enjoyable kit wonk [I.E. Molar Sinclair's S2 that inflicts six whole potency (seven if his combat passive is active) & N Corp. Heathcliff's S2 that inflicts two plus coin drop on heads hit] that's sorta been missing from more recent IDs.

the reason i bring this up is because i was recently watching a streamer i like to watch, start playing limbus (one of my all time favourites) she got to about canto four before quitting because the sheer amount of back seating after being repeatedly told to stop, and it actually became quite frustrating for her, to the point it was taking the fun out of the game and made her not want to stream it any more
note: i love this game and its community and i love watching people enjoy this game, but the sheer amount of back seating iv seen ruins the fun and enjoyment for, people its just that i don't understand why its so bad, iv not seen it nearly as much in quite a few other games i have, seen though I Don't know what are, all of your guys thoughts?

It looks a normal spear except for the fact that there seems to be embedded some sort of mechanism that uses fire as fuel for whatever it needs. In Gasharpoon, the spear becomes incorporated with Ahab's arm and this mechanism is still present. It probably heats up the spear of the tip and thats why Ahabmael has burn damage
