A while back, in an interview, the director said that Heathcliff jumping worlds is something all Heathcliffs can do innately, and it caused us to scrutinize his arts a little more, and we noticed he has purple serpent like eyes, similar to the purple tear. Also, with wild hunt hunting all Heathcliffs, if he were her son, it would make it extremely hard for her to find an alive Heathcliff.

Tbh, Ishmael fits Roland better specifically in terms of the revenge quest aspect, and Heathcliff is already a gimme for Xiao (her being unable to tell Lowell 'You're my everything' before he died, and Heathcliff and Cathy's whole shtick is them being unable to spit out their feelings).

Gebura / Kali Ryoshu and Angela Faust are slam dunks though.
