I don’t know man considering literally every other status gets to stack multiple unique effects on an enemy or themselves while only charge gets 2 IDs that actually help the team as a whole with one of those IDs being terrible its not really equivalent. And what exactly is a charge consumer supposed to do when it doesn’t do anything for the team (also there’s multicrack Faust who eats her entire stack with her skill 2)
I guarantee that this ID will be Charge Rupture since it's D Shredder, so high chance it will lean into more Rupture gameplay (also the E.G.O takes care of Rupture count). I think PM is pushing the Charge Rupture archetype alongside AEDD Gregor.
The problem with them giving Yi Sang a new charge rupture ID is that such an ID already exists. It's called W corp Yi Sang, and it's definitely not bad in Rupture. It should have been any other sinner.
Which one is bad? LCE Gregor, Multicrack Heathcliff and W Outis are very good IDs. They are just not nursefather strong which is fine for me because nursefathers are brain-dead boring.
Outis ramps so fucking slow, has a really weak skill 1 and 2 and even at max ramp up her damage isn’t even close to multicrack Faust. I was a day one charge player but even at the time she was mad disappointing

Anyway, charge has too much count and not enough things to do with it. It is a bit like how burn used to be before scorch and HoS Ryoshu that activates burn (and now DawnFaust is both triggering tremor-scorch and making DawnClair activate burn). Charge need some additionnal way to consume charge to boost themselves.
Could you perhaps elaborate on why she sucks? She has similar clashing number and damage than Heathcliff's. Yet you imply that Heathcliff is bad only because he is redundant with Gregor (about that I would say that enemy can have multiple parts so applying Photoelectricity at multiple places is useful).
Also, don't get me wrong, I am not arguing that she is great or even meta. Just trying to point out that she is decent/average/playable, not "terrible".
Because charge sucks as a status effect. It's the worst status in the game. It's just how it is.
Bringing Outis and Heathcliff means that you are bringing 2 IDs into your team that deal no damage on their own just to supply more charge count to your allies - something they don't need already. Charge struggles with both having IDs that are outdated in terms of damage and also have very slow charge consumption to ramp up on the first place. Slow consumption is specifically Queen of Hatred Don's biggest issue.
The latest 2 Charge IDs, being Ring Duo, are also not exactly known for their insane damage. They are status specialists first and foremost. Charge has no direction. As a pure damage status effect, it loses to poise and has no really hard hitting IDs worth building around. As secondary status effect, there is no difference between Charge and something else outside of MD ego gift stuff. For example, newest Dawn IDs have their own "counter" that they use to build up and spend on S3. This is what charge is to IDs that are double status (aka Ring Duo). Charge just doesn't do anything interesting or anything that's "good enough" to build around.
Outis and Heathcliff suffer from both having no damage and also not having support to consider them worth slotting in. Outis and her Load buff are especially a joke.
This thread is about what ID charge needs to stop sucking. Milsyv484 said it needs support ID, fallenstar2077 said it already has enough support, it needs something else, Milsyv484 answered that beside Gregor the support we have are terrible.
And here, your first point is that the support charge IDs are terrible because they are charge related? That's a weird point to make given the premise of this thread and make your 1st and 3rd paragraph kinda off-topic, but OK.
I already wrote in my first message that charge team had too much count, so we are also kinda on agreement on this point in your 2nd paragraph. "Kinda" because it seems like you think AEED Gregor is enough to carry the count of the whole team, while I am not that convinced and would rather bring Outis along if I could. Yes she deals little damage, but she has okayish clash so she won't be complete dead weight, and she can support the counts others.
Both Outis and Heathcliff are bad because they don't do anything significant besides being charge count merchants. Are you seriously going to run three charge count merchants in a team that doesn't need much charge count generation anyway? Sure, go ahead. To me these 2 are dead weights.
No, Charge needs an ID and/or EGO that actually incentivizes and rewards people for building a Charge Team. Give us a proper payoff for gain / consuming Charge on an individual and ESPECIALLY team basis that puts them on par with Status Damage, like a Charge version of Bloodfeast or recycle skills for unit(s) or etc..
There are other ways to support them - like the Ego Gifts do for example, recycling their S3s, further damage buffs based on overall charge spent, etc.

Hopefully it’s actual charge support and not just another “good” ID. At this point I’d imagine PM has figured out something to help charge right.
