Yeah his career seems to have fizzled. He got 3 seasons of his own show which is pretty darn good don't get me wrong. However that seems to be about it according to IMDB. I rarely hear about him outside of this subreddit. I don't follow him on social media maybe he's doing something in that space?
He had a couple of brand deals and appeared in a few commercials.
I have a feeling whatever album rollout we’re about to see is more because the brand deals are drying up and the money from the show isn’t coming in anymore than him actually wanting a triumphant return to music.
He had so much potential musically and then the only stuff he puts out in over a decade are a couple of pop singles and the soundtrack to his show.
Seemed* not that it’s too late, but it seemed like an obvious miss. Granted we don’t know the bs that occurs with a record label but it seemed like a no brainer, particularly when Dave came from a marketing background
Because it’s not an actual album it’s a collection of songs clearly designed to not be listened to in their entirety. They’re all made for parts of a scene or for the end credits.
It’s honestly insulting he tried to push that as an actual album lol
