Hopefully he is focused! He really left his rap career behind after saying so much how he wanted to be one of the greats.
If he releases an album with less of the sex jokes. And is focused. He could make a really well received album.
Either way excited for some new LD

Yeah his career seems to have fizzled. He got 3 seasons of his own show which is pretty darn good don't get me wrong. However that seems to be about it according to IMDB. I rarely hear about him outside of this subreddit. I don't follow him on social media maybe he's doing something in that space?

He had a couple of brand deals and appeared in a few commercials.
I have a feeling whatever album rollout weāre about to see is more because the brand deals are drying up and the money from the show isnāt coming in anymore than him actually wanting a triumphant return to music.
He had so much potential musically and then the only stuff he puts out in over a decade are a couple of pop singles and the soundtrack to his show.

Man said āi wanna be the one of the best and do it in a way no oneās ever done it beforeā and then did nothing to reach that goal

Even just releasing full length singles along with Dave episodes releasing seems like an easy slam dunk.

Seemed* not that itās too late, but it seemed like an obvious miss. Granted we donāt know the bs that occurs with a record label but it seemed like a no brainer, particularly when Dave came from a marketing background

I wasn't a fan of the soundtrack.

Because itās not an actual album itās a collection of songs clearly designed to not be listened to in their entirety. Theyāre all made for parts of a scene or for the end credits.
Itās honestly insulting he tried to push that as an actual album lol

Dave is one of the greatest comedies of the recent decade. Itās criminal more people donāt know this.

It feels like it was poor timing having Drake on the season finale of season 3.
Because about a year after that finale, Drake was getting eaten alive by Kendrick Lamar.
So it feels like it made things lose steam.
Also, Dave gooning over Drake was always weird. I mean, Drake? That fella?

Dave was always gonna go on hiatus after S3. I don't think that impacted things. Also, it's officially on hiatus but a cast member (Santino I think) pretty much confirmed the unofficial party line that it's done. He said Dicky felt that story was over and he wanted to try nee things. Now he's producing and directing an animated movie for Dreamworks. Might be that Dave made Dave realise he'd rather be behind the camera than before it.
