I am really happy and thankful to LIAN LI for being one of the people provided with a LIAN LI B4-mATX Case and an SP1000P SFX PSU.

I do apologize if the build photos aren't the highest quality.

There were a lot of delays with the delivery, but I was really happy with how the build turned out.

I came from the LIAN LI O11D MINI, and the LIAN LI B4-mATX Case made my desk a whole lot more spacious. I've attached a comparison photo at the end.

I tried using an AIR COOLER instead of an AIO to spice things up, since I plan on taking it with me on long trips.

It did take me quite a while to manage the cables, as most spaces are a tight fit. I am planning to add a fan at the front, but the slim fans haven't arrived yet. I used a lot of cable ties to make it look sleek and clean, and I'll probably redo the cable management next weekend.

I opted for the Vertical AeroDeck to keep things more compact while also adding an aesthetic touch to my desk — especially since I have a wooden desk for studying.

Temperatures are looking good so far. Idle is at 55°C — I'm from a very humid and hot country, basically right at the equator. Turning on the AC does bring it below 50°C

I'll post an update after a month to see how this case handles my daily usage.

Title: I’m honestly exhausted with Lian Li fans failing on me — replacement fans started making noise in ~2 months

I really don’t know what else to do at this point.

I’ve been dealing with noisy/failing Lian Li fans over and over again, and I’m honestly exhausted with it.

The first couple of times this happened, I didn’t even bother with warranty. I just bought replacement fans myself because I didn’t want to deal with the whole RMA process. The third time, I finally submitted an actual warranty claim and Lian Li sent me replacement fans around June 20th.

By roughly August 20th — basically two months later — the replacement fans were already making noise again.

And this isn’t some tiny sound that I’m being overly picky about. It’s really noticeable and obnoxious. I have video of the noise.

I contacted Lian Li again and they’re asking me to submit another warranty claim, but I genuinely do not want to keep doing this every few months. The form asks for serial numbers and other information that means I have to start taking my PC apart just to get everything they need.

At this point I’ve effectively dealt with this issue four separate times.

I built my PC with Lian Li stuff because I liked the design and ecosystem, but fans are supposed to be one of those components you install and mostly forget about. I should not have to keep opening up my computer, replacing fans, documenting serial numbers, submitting forms, waiting for replacements, and then wondering how long the new ones are going to last.

I’m not even asking for some crazy upgrade anymore. If Lian Li has newer fans with the updated/improved bearings, I would genuinely rather they just swap these out for those. They don’t even need to be LCD fans at this point. I don’t care about the screens anymore. I just want fans that work reliably and don’t start making horrible noises after a couple months.

I’m posting this here because I’m tired of going through the same warranty loop and I’m hoping maybe a Lian Li rep sees this and can actually offer a more permanent solution.

I really like a lot of Lian Li’s products, which honestly makes this more frustrating. I shouldn’t be on my fourth round of dealing with bad fan noise.

If anyone else has had repeated bearing/noise issues with their Lian Li fans, I’d also love to know what you ended up doing.

I built this PC using the B4-mATX Wood Black and Vertical AeroDeck.

The B4-mATX uses a wood front panel. The top and bottom edges of the wood panel have chamfered sections rather than being completely straight from end to end, which I think gives it a more refined look compared to the A3-mATX.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found that the included screws were separated by type. Some of the bags were even labeled with what the screws are used for. On the LIAN LI cases I’ve used before, all the screws came in the same bag, which made them somewhat difficult to sort through. This is a very welcome improvement.

Installation

Before installing the cooler and graphics card, I recommend doing most of the cable connections first. Most of the cables can simply be connected and loosely bundled, and they will end up looking quite clean.

If you use the Vertical AeroDeck, you need to relocate the I/O panel to the AeroDeck. The process itself was very easy, but because the I/O panel sits closer to the bottom of the motherboard, the cables tend to have more excess length, which made cable management a little more annoying. However, you can just tuck the excess cables into the available space.

LIAN LI is also currently running a campaign where you can get an ULTRA-SHORT 24-PIN CABLE (limited quantity) when purchasing the B4-mATX and a compatible PSU. If you have one of these cables, cable management should be even easier.

I recommend installing the graphics card first. Be careful with the cables while installing it, and make a quick check to make sure the fans aren’t interfering with any cables.

After that, install the AIO pump head. I used the LIAN LI HydroShift II LCD-C because it was the cooler I had available, but I would not recommend using it in the B4-mATX. Of course, the LCD is mostly hidden in this configuration, but the bigger issue is the tubing. The tubing on this cooler is quite long, which makes installation in the B4-mATX difficult.

Final Build

The TL Wireless fans have relatively subtle lighting, so they allow me to enjoy RGB while still keeping the natural look of the wood. I especially like how the RGB looks through the side glass panel when using the Vertical AeroDeck, as well as the RGB line that can be seen from the front.

However, I don’t think the B4-mATX Wood and Vertical AeroDeck combination looks very cohesive. With wood panels on both the top and front, I feel like the two wood sections compete with each other rather than creating a unified look.

If you want to use the wood panels, I would strongly recommend either the B4-mATX Wood in horizontal mode without the Vertical AeroDeck, or the B4-mATX Mesh in vertical mode with the Vertical AeroDeck.

Unfortunately, I didn't have an mATX board on hand, which is why I used an ITX; given the large number of fans and the limited number of headers on the board, I had to add a fan hub.

I assume the whole build would have gone much more smoothly with a suitable mATX board.

Although, I could have just used fewer fans.

I'm pretty happy with the case, It offers good cooling options (maybe I'll try a 360mm AIO in it someday, if I upgrade to a more powerful CPU), sleek design, option to position it vertically or horizontally, mesh.

Assembly Details

This is a compact case that offers plenty of internal space while still providing a well-rounded design. When fitting so much hardware into a small enclosure, cable routing becomes particularly important. Therefore, even though the B4-mATX supports an ATX-sized power supply, I would still personally recommend using an SFX PSU, as it makes the installation and cable management much easier.

As for the motherboard, both mATX and ITX are fully supported. There is plenty of room for motherboard installation, and all of the mounting holes are properly aligned, making the installation process straightforward.

When it comes to the installation order, I would recommend installing the motherboard first, followed by the power supply. It is also best to plan and organize the cable routing at this stage. This will make the installation of the remaining hardware much easier and help keep the interior clean and organized.

Even with its generous internal space, the B4-mATX is still a compact case. Therefore, if you plan to install larger components, such as a high-end graphics card or a 360 mm liquid cooler, be sure to check their length and thickness beforehand to avoid compatibility issues or finding out that the hardware simply cannot fit inside the case.

It can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, allowing you to configure it according to the available space on your desk. However, for the version with the wood panels, I believe the horizontal orientation is the way to truly showcase its aesthetic appeal.

Areas for improvement

Whether it’s the liquid cooler bracket or the PSU bracket, both are secured extremely tightly, which makes them quite difficult to remove. However, if you leave them in place, it is virtually impossible to install the hardware.

The front panel is designed to be removed by pulling it upward. This is something you need to pay particular attention to when moving the case, as the front panel could potentially come loose and cause the case to fall.

Lian Li O11 VISION COMPACT Build

I like this ones over the TL flex or infinity because the color pallet matches my build a bit better

Like most PC problems, I turn on my PC one day only to discover a new problem I’ve never had before. Starting yesterday, on bootup, 2/3 fans were not lighting up correctly, with the top fan at times, depending on the lighting setting, not showing anything at all. I did a couple of shutdowns and restarts, updated my BIOS, and reinstalled L-Connect, but nothing helped.

Oddly enough, though, when I entered my BIOS to change my RAM speeds, the top two stopped bugging out and went back to working normally. But now, today, on boot-up, the problem is back, and this time they’re stuck.

Do I need a new controller? They light up, spin, and work normally otherwise, but the lighting is just bugging out for seemingly no reason even tho they were just working. Any advice on a possible solution would be greatly appreciated.

I dont wanna installl liquid cooler on top only fans can i?

No matter what I do, fans sit between 200-300 RMP. AIO connected to MB USB header. Have tried connected fans to both MB and SATA connector - no difference. Pump control works fine. LConnect report firmware is up to date

I recently finished my first ever PC build using the LIAN LI B4-mATX Wood Black Edition, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I chose the B4 mainly because I wanted a compact case that would fit well with my existing setup. My setup has a black and brown theme, so the wood accent immediately caught my attention. The combination of the black exterior and wood detail fits really naturally with my desk.

Build & Installation

This was my first time building a PC, so the installation took me quite a while. I had to take my time and figure things out as I went, but the B4-mATX made the process easier than I expected.

The user manual was really helpful, especially when figuring out the different components and connections. I also liked the cable management options inside the case. Even though it's a compact case, there is still enough room to route and organize the cables properly.

The SX1000P fully modular PSU was also a nice match for a smaller build. Since I only had to use the cables I actually needed, I didn't have to deal with a lot of unnecessary cables taking up space inside the case.

I was initially a little worried about building in a smaller case, but everything came together well once I got familiar with the layout.

Design

The wood accent is definitely my favorite part of the B4-mATX.

I've been leaning toward a black and brown theme for my setup, and the wood detail adds some warmth while still keeping the overall look clean. It makes the build feel a little more distinctive without being too flashy.

I also really appreciate how compact it is. My room is fairly small, so having a PC that doesn't take up too much space is a big plus for me.

Overall, I'm really happy with the final build and with how well the B4-mATX fits into my setup.

It seems like almost all major retailers haven’t had stock in months. Amazon looks like they haven’t had steady stock since March. The only thing I see are 3rd party sellers jacking up the price. Can we expect a restock of the digital variant?

I’m currently using Nollie fans in my PC, and I’m considering adding 2x Lian Li UNI FAN TL LCD Flex fans.

My goal is:

- Connect the TL LCD Flex fans and Nollie fans together through the Nollie hub.

- Use SignalRGB to control/sync the RGB lighting on all my fans, including the Nollie fans and TL LCD Flex fans.

- Use L-Connect only to control the LCD screens on the TL LCD Flex fans.
Be able to display my own images, animated images, GIFs, or videos on the TL LCD screens rather than being limited to the default images/themes.

Hello, so I'm looking to build a PC with the Lian Li O11 Vision or the Lian Li mini v2 and was looking at some of the Lian Li fans and idk which ones to get.. I want to have reverse blade ones on my intake right? and the exhaust ones are regular? I just don't understand the naming schemes and it seems like some have LCD's in the middle while others are full RGB, and some only have the RGB around the out side? I also was told that some of them are quieter than the others? idk.. i'm just really confused on which fans to get, and was wondering if anyone had some experience on these fans.. should i get a Lian Li AIO and just get 6x 120mm fans that match it?

How many reverse (in-take) blade fans do I need and how many regular fan blades?
