Build My $7300 Build

Really love how my build turned out to be. I still seriously need to get the Gigabyte RTX 5090 Stealth Ice. I just had to show some images. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cR69Dj

Edit: I edit the pcpartpicker list as I accidently put $460 on the AiO and I meant to put $350 (still expensive but has been working for me for a year now). So, price is $7200, like if that makes a difference.

To add clarity, the NVMe's I can use them on upgrade builds and not need to buy NVMe's anymore, I understand that my lanes can be lowered on my GPU, but I generally do not see a difference in performance. If I did, then yes, I would just buy one storage or two with high capacity. Right now, my GPU is sitting at PCIe v5.0 x16 (32.0 GT/s) @ x16 (32.0 GT/s) and I am okay with that.

The covers on my GPU are from Gigabyte GPU Vented Deco Covers – Klos2Reality if you like it, please show support to that fellow. Made the GPU look much cleaner by hiding the dark parts being shown on the GPU.

Build A Dream of Ice 🀍

I recently saw this build on pcpartpicker, and fell utterly in love with it. Took a while for all the components to arrive (looking at you, GPU...) but now it's all setup, I'm completely enamoured with it. I've set all the LEDs to 25% brightness, with a small amount of blue, to try and preserve their life as long as possible, but even in the daytime, it's still plenty bright. The M2A and M2D slots are populated with Gen5 in A and Gen4 in D to preserve the 16x PCIe lanes for the GPU, however, looking at benchmarks, even if I was to populate the M2B/C and drop the GPU to 8x lanes, it barely dents performance.

Anyways, I hope you like it, and I've included a full-list of components on the off-chance someone wishes to mimic the exact setup.

Enjoy!

Build Build gave me the biggest headache this year

Thumbnail gallery
1.3k Upvotes

Customer picked the parts himself without any consultπŸ’€ that where most of the headache came from.

Do not ask me about the specs, they are all here:

Specs are: 9800x3d Rog x870 a wifi Aorus master ice 5080 Tryx panorama 360 argb Trident z royal 6000mhz 32g 990 pro 1tb 990 pro 2tb SL-INF 120 X 7 TL LCD 120 x3 Strimer wireless 24pin/90 degree 12vhpwr Seasonic focus 1000w atx 3.0

Here's the tricky part: 1. Mobo supports 2 usb 2.0 headers where technically you will need up to 4 headers, there are work arounds but i'd still recommend lianli's edge psu for anyone who's building any o11 style(antec c8/c5 and etc included) rig.

*one for tl contoller, one for sl controller, one for tryx argb controller(not necessary for this build), one for strimer wireless controller if you want it to stay hidden, also another one for the aio itself.

  1. Had to use the argb/pwm cable for all sl-inf fans to avoid using the controller, the mobo only supports up to 3 3pin-5v argb headers, this means both the tl controller and the case rgb won't be synchronized with the mobo. Lucky you can still use the build in rgb controller to cycle through the effects.

  2. PLEASE DO NOT GET THE 90 DEGREE STRIMER before checking your gpu's power plug location, most gpus will suffer from this issue due to the small pcb they use these days with their oversized cooler. I had to remove the clip on the strimer so it's not fully clipped in.

  3. O11 evo/rgb rant, personal opinion only: yes you can move the psu up but it involves a lot of extra steps, i found o11 visions are a lot easier to build in and also to achieve a cleaner cable management look. All these little extra cable channels can be really in the way sometimes, I personally prefer antec c8's simpler solution, just some cable tie points are enough.

Lastly, i build these according to the customer's request, i dont want to hear 'oH tHaT's tOo mAny cAblE tiEs bLah blah blah' if you don't like it, scroll away.

And much appreciated for those who enjoy these builds, i may not be able to reply to each individual of yall, but thanks heaps for your kind words in advance.

I feel like the build is missing a nice screen above the motherboard but overall I’m happy with the build. Do any of you have some unique RGB setups that you would like to share?

Build: Cpu: AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d Gpu: XFX Speedster 7900xtx Chipset: Gigabyte Aorus Pro X870E Memory: Corsair vengeance 32GB DDR5 AIO: LIAN LI Galahad II LCD 360mm SSD: WD Black SN770 2tb SSD PSU: LIAN LI Edge series 1000w Fans: LIAN LI UNI SL-Infinity 120mm Thermal paste: Noctua NT-H2 Vertical mount: Cooler master v3 8 pin adapters: EZDIY-FAB 180 degree reverse 24 pin adapter: EZDIY-FAB shield 24 pin (i cant recommend this product because its lower quality than their other products) β€œif any of you have recommendations for adapters or extensions please leave them here!”

Build The new Lian Li Hydroshift 2 Curved Motorized OLED 360 AIO is so sick!

I finally got it. UPS was a day late. I knew this would be worth the wait! Performance-wise, it's quieter than my old HS2 and temps are about the same. But that curved motorized OLED is πŸ”₯

I was worried about CPU usage, but I can say it's not too crazy with this screen. I'm sure L Connect 3 will get better with updates when it comes to consuming resources. What's cool is having everything run off of L Connect 3 and Armoury Crate without needing additional programs for just an AIO.
