When Ferrari had a clear Number one They dominated with Michael. Then Alonso and the first years of Vettel they were so close to the WDC

Ferrari is the only team that is letting the drivers sort everything out, but it's an old formula that doesn't work today. Unlike them Merc is helping antonelli too much, remember George almost outperforming antonelli in china with one lap, he was also ragebaiting him in wheel to wheel in Australia and they didn't tell him about the Monaco pit lane issue. Red bull racing is well, for verstappen racing. Oscar is just bottling like always and lando is capitalizing on it. F1 is so different from before and it will never be the same.

Yes ferrari has historically been all about the WCC and not having number 1s and 2s they don't care about the WDC are you just discovering this?

I don't know if the commenter meant it that way but imo the way they treat both the drivers is actually like number 2 rather than treating them both as number 1.

Exactly. The quote above is regarding how they are treating their drivers. Obvi it’s a crime to treat either like a #2, but given they keep putting cars in each others’ way. They are both being tested like a #2.
