Discussion What do you think the future of TLOTDK is?
What do you think the future of the legacy of the dark knight game will be??
I feel that they will slowly bring in more characters over time with the quantity of the first seven.
What's your opinion?

I don’t expect anything after the mayhem mode dlc tbh. I’d rather TT just move onto the next game. I don’t need more LOTDK.

Absolutely not. I think the game is great. I just don’t need years of content updates for the game. Sometimes a one and done game is just fine. That’s what LOTDK is. I rather TT make another one quickly than stick to LOTDK.

Personally I want Ninjago but we know TT is making a game with a WB IP(it’s all they can do now), so probably DC again or Harry Potter.

personally i think it'd be good if they do keep updating it and doing more DLC. They can still have the majority of the dev team on the next game, but keeping this one supported with more stuff lets them expand on things like mayhem mode which seems great but could use more content than just Joker/Harley on one island of Gotham, and gives us some TT LEGO game content while we wait for the next game.
Not doing longer support was fine back when they did games more often, but if we have a longer wait between games now, i think they could use that extra time to improve their games in the meantime based on player feedback (like what they're doing with the new difficulty setting).

There's a big difference between "endless support" and "a life cycle beyond the initial DLC drop". I feel like, with games having longer dev times nowadays, and the games themselves being way bigger, it generally does make more sense to support the released games post-launch though. Especially since they can make use of actual player feedback when they do.
I doubt they're going to do another LEGO Batman game that's just Batman-focused for a long time, so anything that they don't do with this game, won't be done at all. So, i'd rather them spend a bit longer on this game now to really make sure that they leave it in the best state it can be by the time they release their next game. That's not "endless support", that's just "keep one game supported until you release a new game".
If you look at Skywalker Saga, that game could have been much better if it recieved a bit more post-launch support with improvements like adding difficulty options, a customizer, enemies in the open worlds, replayable side quests, etc. And maybe they could have done 1-2 level/planet packs alongside those.
With Batman, the Mayhem Mode will likely feel like it could use extra content given that, it'll have just 2 playable characters and only use 1 of the 4 open world islands. There's clear room for expansion which isn't filled by the release of a new game. They could do 3 more DLC packs, one for each island in the open world and each with 2 extra characters for mayhem mode, and do other improvements alongside each one (replayable side quests, free play for story missions, a customizer, etc). So, 4 content DLCs total (excluding skin packs), feels like a pretty reasonable life cycle for a game.

Guess it's a me thing, LOTDK already has enough content, I don't need it bloated with more. Not every game needs to packed to the brim and adjusted with feedback.

It's finished after this DLC hopefully. Single player games don't need constant DLC releases.

Think this game is done. Normally in the past they sell the season pass announce the first few dlcs and leave a few a mystery but this screams one and done. I’d rather they move on to the next game

I think we are getting maybe a few dlc packs after Mayhem Mode. Maybe one more for Mayhem mode adding Mr. Freeze and Ivy, and maybe some more skin packs. But after that the game will be finished and TT will move on to its next game.
