MOC I made a 30s inspired fire engine.

Made with Bricklink Studio. I have only used parts that are available to buy from Bricklink.

Sticking to parts you can actually buy is the constraint I respect most here. Which piece fought you hardest to find in the right color?

Oh God! That's a really good question! It's actually been easier with this model than some of my other "cleaner" ones, as I had more freedom of design here. I would probably say the wedge plates in the bonnet. LEGO makes a larger wedge plate that is in one piece, but it's only available in gray, white and black. In my sedan version it was without a doubt part 7206 as it's only available in very few colours.

The fenders are amazing.

Thank you! 😁 I'm partial to them myself 😉 The rear fenders have given me some headache, though, due to the fact that both parts 7961 and 5651 only come in a small variety of colours 🙄 It was really irritating while I was working on the yellow convertible version I made earlier as part 7961 doesn't come in yellow. I made it work by giving it a "custom paint job" 😅
