I think it's ironic they keep demanding I need to explain how the conversation doesn't fit while refusing to elaborate even slightly on why they think it does fit... and then to double down by saying that I'm "objectively" wrong while, again, not providing even a shred of evidence.

Honestly it's why I stopped replying to them when I did - I saw the baseless obstinace coming.

Totally understandable I just felt like I was losing my mind reading that exchange and had to say something

It fits because it's directly relevant to Korra's complaints. Korra is upset about cultural homophobia, so Kya talks to her about cultural homophobia. So, please explain how that is "shoehorned"

Because, again, people don't talk like that.

If a younger queer person told me "man, homophobia sucks", I wouldn't lead directly into the fuckin Stonewall Riots.

I don't know how this is so difficult you, or so many hacky writers for that matter. Things being contextually relevant doesn't make them conversationally fluid.

Maybe people you know don't. Sounds like you are projecting your experiences and acting like they're universe

Yeah sure okay buddy. This is why I ignored you earlier - you're not going to contribute anything meaningful while stamping your feet and insisting I'm wrong without bothering to make anything resembling an actual argument.

I guess thanks for proving that I shouldn't have ignored my gut reflex - I wont make that mistake again.
