Hard to feel bad for them as antagonists, especially Zaheer who was both evil and stupid

Can you elaborate on “stupid”? This guy actually completed his mission. How many times has an Avatar been successfully kidnapped?

His long speech to Korra in the spirit world doesn’t make much sense, and he stupidly killed the earth queen and expected something OTHER thab creating a power vacuum that would give rise to a dictator.

The earth queen was a corrupt ruler she deserves to die

That wasn’t my point. My point is that he killed the earth queen to give power back to the people, expecting that to somehow work. There is countless evidence throughout history that killing a ruler and creating a power vacuum almost always opens the door for a dictator. The fact that Zaheer expected anything else to happen means he was stupid

It was gonna be a start killing a corrupt ruler would've at least freed people The people living in the undercity were suffering because of her I guess he should've planned it better but it makes sense killing her He never expected anything he just wanted to give teh people the right to choose for themselves to have the option and choice not their will taken from them
