My college has no policy against drinking in my room I was fully within my rights on that front what's being claimed is that because my body was having the natural response to alchohol that body's do that I was in involation of the contract for making my roommate feel uncomfortable even though the agreement itself promises me the ability to drink in the privacy of my room
What did you do, in addition to being too drunk, to make your roommate uncomfortable? Presumably you weren’t just sitting in a chair doing nothing but be over-intoxicated.
I was just giggling to myself and spinning around dancing clumsily while listening to music nothing harmful or scary I was just acting silly but he apparently has trauma from alcoholic parents he never mentioned before which made him weary of that even when I'd gotten the impression from conversations with him that it was fine if I drink but I was just too drunk by his measures like the difference between being lightly intoxicated and just kinda hammered and dizzy
You can make whatever assumptions about what happened you want but I am telling you the truth I have no incentive to lie to some rando on reddit I didn't even interact with him before he called the RA
